Suffering Begins with Joseph
Genesis 37 12-36
God's dream pays the price of suffering just like Joseph. God-given dreams are neither simple ideals nor romantics;
It is not a promise of the future. If we are true Christians, it is not just a glimpse of earthly dreams.
If you have the eternal dream, the love of God, in your heart, you will not be afraid of the present hardships.
When you go through hardships and trials, your dreams will bloom and bear fruit.
The fact that Joseph walked with God from an early age is found in several places in the Bible.
How can a 17-year-old youngster be able to obey without lies, without wounds, with sincerity, and chastely under test It is because God walked with Joseph, and because Joseph trusted God from an early age.
Dear saints,
Faith and obedience are independent of age. When the Holy Spirit comes on even children, if they have faith, they will develop wisdom and courage that adults cannot handle. The characteristic of such a person is obedience.
But not blind obedience. Joseph was a man of political ability and ability to later become prime minister of a foreign country at the age of 30. He had the skills, he wanted to be a leader, he had wisdom, and he had judgment.
What are your children's dreams? Those who have such a dream come to God and pray earnestly.
Those who have dreams are those who go to Hana Man.
People with dreams do not blame their circumstances. I don't blame my ancestors. I don't hate people.
A person with a dream sees what others have not seen and goes on a path that others do not have.
A person with a dream sees a way. A person with a dream sees a goal.
If you have a dream, the current pain and thorns will not be a problem. Because it is a process, the goal is waiting and looking at the goal. Because the promise is waiting.
In the future, we would like to share grace together by examining what kind of suffering Joseph, the boy of dreams, goes through through the text.
Look at verses 12-14.
Remember the land of Shechem? It is the land where Jacob's Pitdina was raped. This is where Jacob's two sons killed the princes of Hamor and their families as a result of that incident. And all the men in the city died.
After the incident, Jacob fled for fear of their revenge and met God.
But now Jacob's son has gone to Shechem with his flock. This text makes sense only when you know that they are herding sheep in a very dangerous area.
Perhaps because it is a dangerous place, Jacob wanted to send Joseph to know the safety of the other children.
Maybe they didn't send Joseph, who said it was a safe area.
Here we find Jacob's favoritism. It can be clearly seen that the other brothers were all sent to the fields to tend the sheep, but Joseph was not sent and left at home.
Anyway, Jacob tells Joseph to come and see the situation of his brothers. Then Joseph replied, "I will do it." The secret to receiving blessings well when we live our faith is I will do it like Joseph.
That is to say. Greetings to you all. I will do it .
This is the answer to obedience; A person who is good at obedience has no reason. No excuses.
Whether it is a good thing, a bad thing, or an impossible thing, if God wills it, I will do it immediately.
I bless you with the blessing of obedience.
The obedient person is convenient for God to use. Isaiah is a representative figure in the Old Testament who is good at obedience.
Look at Isaiah 6:8.
And in the New Testament, it is the Apostle Paul. Look at Acts 20:23-24.
Although he is a young Joseph, he is fearless and obeys his uncle Jacob despite the very dangerous area.
