Title: The Teaching Holy Spirit (John 14:26)
Content Just as in order to raise a child into a mature adult, there must be constant spiritual, moral and intellectual teaching along with physical growth, if a person believes in Christ and is born again by the Holy Spirit, this person will not grow spiritually . it must not be It is the Holy Spirit who educates this new spiritual man to grow in the image of Christ.
Education before entering the world of faith was humanistic education, and the method was experimental education through the senses. But the Holy Spirit gives us a whole personal education. This education is theocratic and its method is revelatory education through the Word of God.
The ultimate purpose of the Holy Spirit in educating believers is not only to enable them to follow Christ as born-again spiritual people and to serve God who is the great ruler of heaven and earth, but also so that the entire purpose and motive of life is to please God. This education of the Holy Spirit proceeds throughout the human will, emotion, and intelligence.
The Holy Spirit teaches us through the Word and real-life experience. Before leaving this world, Jesus promised that when the Holy Spirit comes, he will teach us all the truth, make us understand the word of the Lord, and make us bear it. If, after experiencing the wonderful grace of regeneration, we long for the teachings of the Holy Spirit and do not receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, then no matter how much we study and listen to God's Word, such a person will only understand the literal meaning of God's Word and lose sight of the inner meaning and always be spiritually spiritual. will not be able to escape hunger.
The Holy Spirit also teaches us through real life. Luke 4:1-2 says [Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit and tempted by the devil]. Of course, the Holy Spirit did not allow Jesus to be tempted by the devil to destroy Him. Likewise, the Holy Spirit educates us today to enter into God's wonderful grace through trials, tribulations, and refinements.
Therefore, we should not back down under any circumstances, but deeply understand what the Holy Spirit wants to teach us so that we can grow so that we do not lack the slightest bit of God's Word, knowledge, and character.
Prayer: Dear Lord. Please always keep us so that we can become powerful witnesses by relying on your word and your Holy Spirit. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
