Title: The three lives of the Blessed Saints
Exodus (57) The three lives of the blessed saint (Exodus 21:28-36)
1. Fair Life
If you look at the law in the main text, you can see that the compensation for damages was made as fair as possible. So, we made sure that the victim was not compensated excessively and the perpetrator was not punished excessively. As such, God is a fair God who treats everyone equally. In life, we witness a lot of absurdity, and there are times when we feel that we are more difficult than others. Still, never forget that God is fair.
Be sure of God's fairness and be more grateful when you are in trouble and rejoice more when you are sad. Because sooner or later those difficulties and sorrows will turn into joy. Conversely, if you are happy, mourn; if you are happy, be sober. This is because problems and prayer topics may arise sooner or later. So, don't get too caught up in the current external conditions.
There are difficult times in life, but there are still many things to be grateful for. Find something to be grateful for and be thankful even in difficult times. Considering one's own great sins and transgressions, it is actually grateful to be alive. God is a just God. Believe that there is only inequity, which always punishes us less than our transgressions and gives us more blessings than merit. Look to God, who overflows with love and fairness, and live a life that overflows with love and equity.
2. A thoughtful life
If you look at the law in the text, you can see that there are several examples of people harming others through carelessness. You should not cause harm to others through such minor negligence, and you should always be considerate to be able to consider the circumstances, circumstances, and feelings of others.
There is a saying "Katyusa psychology". In Tolstoy's novel Resurrection, Katyusa, who loved Count Nekhludoff, earnestly wishes for his safe return after he left for the army. Finally, he hears that he is on vacation and waits for him at the village station. Finally, a train carrying her lover arrives, and she finds him through the car window, knocks on the window and calls out eagerly, but he drinks and laughs with his co-workers, but neither sees nor remembers Katyusa. Eventually the train just leaves and she falls on the railroad tracks and weeps, swearing. “God who ignored my earnest prayer! I will not believe in God.”
Katyusa psychology is the psychology of not believing in conscience and justice and not believing in God if you expect the victory of conscience and justice and when those expectations are broken. How many people left the church and left God because they had such high expectations of the church and its members, but the church failed their expectations and the members failed to act as members? Do not show concern for your own blessings to those who expect the love and devotion of the church members. Do not turn away from your neighbor's tears. An attitude of being easily hurt is a problem, but an attitude that is not thoughtful is a bigger problem.
3. Responsible Life
The law in this text emphasizes that we must faithfully take responsibility when we inflict damage on others. The most wonderful aspect of a saint is to take responsibility and live responsibly in today's reality. Saints must have a wonderful vision for tomorrow, but that vision must be formed based on a sober sense of reality. Without today's preparation, there is no tomorrow's creation. When the night passes, the temporal morning comes by itself. However, if you do not go through today's hard night, a new morning of blessing will not come by itself.
Don't shirk your responsibilities and focus on each of your duties. Don't just dream of the future, do your best in the present. Responsibility brings anxiety and responsibility brings peace. So, don't pass the blame on to someone else, don't put it off until tomorrow, and don't overdo it. Responsible life is more important than imperial thought.
Blindly adapting to reality is not a responsible life, but ignoring reality is not a responsible life either. Don't just become a 'designer dreaming of a new world' in your life, but also become a 'responsible bricklayer today' So, keep a plaque with the word “today” in your heart and always try to lead a responsible life. By showing such a responsible attitude in your present position, become blessed souls who prepare for tomorrow's blessings.
