(Mat 3:1-6) “[1] Then came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, [2] Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” [3] This is the one spoken by the prophet Isaiah, saying, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness. [4] This John was clothed in camel's hair, and had a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and limestone. [5] At this time Jerusalem and all Judea and They all came to him from all around the Jordan, [6] confessing their sins, and being baptized by him in the Jordan.”

John the Baptist in the text we read today is truly a precious man of God.
Jesus also praised the woman as the greatest among the healed.
John the Baptist began his ministry six months before Jesus
He is said to have prepared for the ministry of Jesus.
He is truly a respected minister and a believer.
Jesus, who came as light in this turbid and dark world,
Like John the Baptist who prepared the way for Jesus,
I hope that the faith of our members will also appear as true believers who become the light.
1, If you want to live as a light Christian, you must stand firm in the biblical truth.
This is an anecdote of the famous German composer Handel.
One day, Handel lost his wig while on the road.
At that time, wigs were very important items.
After a long time of perplexity, a beautiful lady found his wig. Turns out she was a lady working at a nearby barber shop. After that, Handel came to visit her often with gratitude. As a result, I fell in love with her.
Handel gave the woman he loved a handwritten sheet music for his oratorio ‘Messiah’ as a gift. Handel had intended to marry her. Then one day, Handel stopped by the barber again.
The lady did not know that Handel had come.
As she was touching the hair of a customer who came to get her haircut, she inadvertently said to the other barber, “Give me some sheet music so I can curl my hair.” Hearing this, Handel quietly left the barbershop and never went back to the barbershop after that.
If you were in Korea in the Garden of Eden
If the Garden of Eden existed in Korea, mankind might not have fallen.
Before the snake tempted Eve, Eve would have caught the snake and made a soup
Even if Eve had been tempted by the serpent, Adam would not have fallen.
Have you ever seen a Korean man listen to a woman? ^^;
John the Baptist testified of the word of God.
Repent, heaven is near. judge you,
He shared this great truth without fear.
He firmly believed in this truth.
He testified of this truth.
Until he was imprisoned and martyred,
The same is true of the times we live in today.
How many temptations are there for the truth?
Numerous other truths seek to undermine pure truth.
Heresy has nothing to say,,,
The reality is that even with the sign of the church, we are going to a tremendous amount of untruth.
Not all churches are true churches.
(Galatians 3:1) “You foolish Galatians, who deceived you when Jesus Christ was plainly shown before your eyes.”
(Galatians 5:7) “You ran well, and who stopped you from obeying the truth?”
(2 Tim 2:15) “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
I am sure that I will become a believer of light when I stand firmly on the word of God and live with the pure gospel faith that is not swayed by other theories.
2, To live as a light Christian, a biblical life must follow.
John the Baptist had a frugal life.
(Mat 3:4) “This John was clothed in camel hair, and had a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and stone blue.”
A man was drunk, waving his fists and arguing with him.
When the drunkard found out that the person standing in front of him was Kim Ik-doo, a famous gangster at the time, his face became contemplative.
He left a word to the drunkard and hurried on the way.
“Jesus is what I believe, and you see the virtues.”
More than 100 years ago, H Hendrix summarized the types of people's reactions to change as follows.
1 Diligent innovators (2.6%) moving with new ideas
2 Diligent adaptors (13.4%) who are always around innovators.
3 Slow majority following public opinion (34%).
4 The public is reluctant to change (34%).
5 People who never tolerate change (16%).
Those who believe in Jesus must change.
Those who are born again by the Holy Spirit have their spirit changed.
You must bring a change in your heart, mind, and life.
Although the Holy Spirit demands change in their lives, there are many believers who do not obey.
Still captivated by worldly, carnal thoughts,
I don't know how many saints are disobedient.
In this way, you cannot become a true Christian.
## After meeting Jesus, Zacchaeus was saved and changed.
accounted for his faults and devoted half of his fortune,
He said that he would pay back four times if he had caused harm to anyone by his mistake.
His life was changed.
(Romans 12:2) “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
3, If you want to live as a light Christian, you must have a biblical view of ethics.
(Luke 3:16) "John answered them all, saying, I baptize you with water, but one who is mightier than I is coming, and I am not worthy to untie his sandals, who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. that's
John the Baptist had a clear moral view.
He was praised and popular with the people.
But he humbled himself as a person who prepares for the Lord and is not comparable to the Lord.
Today's era is said to be an era without conscience and ethics.
It is a time when conscience and ethics have been destroyed.
There are ethics in life.
This is more important and more profound than the law.
Even at home, there are ethics.
There are ethics in the church too.
Even among saints there are ethics.
When this biblical ethics disappears, the light also disappears.
(Acts 24:16) “For this reason I also strive to always have a conscience free from offense toward God and men.”
Conclusion =
There are many people who believe in God, but few who resemble God.
There are many people who live in God,
Few people sacrifice for God.
Jesus, who came to this earth as light,
Our Christian mission is to illuminate the world with a small light
I bless you in the name of the Lord to become a well-behaved saint. Amen!
