Sermons for Preaching

Title: The Two Faces of Jesus

Text: Mark 1:14-15, Philippians 2:1-8

1. Greetings

I am happy to have fellowship with the members of Saegil Church today. Saegil Church was one of the churches I was interested in because I had often heard stories about “Saegil Church” from people around me. I am honored to be able to testify of the Word at the pulpit of Saegil Church today.

When I first received a sermon request from Saegil Church, I felt that it was a truly unique church. It was almost a year ago that I received a sermon request. so

“Where is the church asking for a sermon from a year ago?” and have protested. One year later, on this day, isn't this a message that you shouldn't do anything other than Saegil Church? Where is the guarantee that I will be alive after one year? It was my heart to do it. so

“I am not confident about that.” I said, "I will ask you again after the summer vacation season is over." I received a reply and accepted it. It's very noisy these days, probably because the election date is near. Top articles on the front page of newspapers are lined up with companies, institutions and personnel involved in slush funds and corruption issues, and politicians who are called presidential candidates are making the society buzz with issues of trust and morality. On the one hand, they “preach”, saying, “You have to live upright and upright,” and on the other, you “preach”, saying, “If you have ability, what does morality have to do with it?” It is a scene that confuses how to understand Korean society. A confused society, a society with two faces. I don't think this is the current state of our society in which we live.

Jesus has two faces. Looking into his life, the face of Jesus has two faces, like the face of Janus. To put this bluntly, one half of Jesus' face is the figure of a "crazy", and the other half of the face is the figure of "Hotanga".

Jesus called “whitewashed children” and “broods of vipers” to those who were hypocrites on the outside, who were not saved by themselves, and who did not allow others to be saved, and who turned the synagogue into a den of merchants and robbers . And they even took rods and carried them out of the synagogue
