Title: The Uncompromising Truth (Jude 1:8-16)

[Jude 1:8 - 16]

We live in a generation where the truth has changed a lot and heresy is rampant. We live in a world that recognizes the equality of religions with freedom of religion, but not all religions are equal. In an era where the holiness of religion is lost, for the holiness and truth of the church, we believe that we should pray more and keep the faith of our faith.

What you can feel through the text is that history repeats itself. At the time of the early church, they were troubled by a heresy called Gnosticism. It is written for that perverted generation, but it applies to us today as well. The heresy of Gnosticism is called filthy dreamers in the book of Jude. The dream here refers to a dream that is selfish and self-satisfying.

The characteristic of heresy that Judas refers to began as a philosophical and religious movement between Greece and Rome between the 1st and 3rd centuries. With the beginning of Christianity, the philosophy and heretical religious ideas that existed at that time were combined with Christianity and changed. Gnosticism means possessing something secret. It was a confusing heresy that believes that salvation comes only by possessing this special, secret knowledge that they do not know, opposes the Creator, denies Christ, and only has a spiritual Christ. It was a religion with a foolish philosophy that despised authority, blasphemed God, and that even if the body commits many corruptions, there is salvation only if the spirit is clean. (Verses 8-13)

Although we can say that it is not like this, it is because we read from a third person's point of view that we cannot see ourselves. However, this heresy is also being applied to us without knowing it. We need to look at whether we are living a life of faith that denies Jesus in our lives. Do you not separate your spiritual life from your worldly life and live as if you separate the spirit and body of Gnosticism? I want you to see it in the light of the unchanging Word of God. Do you not lead a religious life of ignoring the authority of the church, causing divisions, and gossiping and criticizing in groups? No one will ever say no. Can you guys say, 'I'm far from heresy, I'm a trained person'?

We must think for a moment how much everyone obscures the glory of the Lord for our own self-satisfaction. You can see that the heretics in the text think that they are all smart and speak badly about those who oppose or disagree with us. Judas compares them to unreasonable beasts, and says that their transgressions lie in their fallen will. These words are the voice of the Lord to me today. We believe that we have to realize these aspects and sins and live only with the truth of the Gospel. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become a saint who looks back on me this morning and clears up my unbelieving life.
