Title: The Value of Faith (Matthew 13:44)

Contents The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, and when a man finds it, he hides it, and rejoices, he goes back and sold all that he had and bought the field.

I pray that God's great grace will be with all of the members who come to the Lord's temple today to worship.

Today I will look at what true faith is and I pray that you will receive the wonderful grace of God through true faith.

Ex) Changes in the rich rockefeller

He's a poor man, crazy about making money, he doesn't spend money, he just collects it.

He started making money and expanding his business.

He said that he was a junk dealer-Buying ships and shipping scrap metal-I didn't have insurance because I was too short of money. One day I got a phone call from the office. He hurriedly bought insurance. What happened to the insurance company? However, the ship was not wrecked and returned safely.

Rockefeller said he couldn't eat for several days because of the $500 he had paid for insurance.

Although he earned money like this and became quite rich, his greed for money was endless. He was criticized by many. But he didn't care about anything that could make money. He had an extraordinary idea.

He started to buy oil in the United States by getting the bank light as much as he could. After buying it for about ten days, the oil in the United States ran out. He used this time to sell his company's oil for 15 times and became the richest man in the world.

This incident led to the creation of antitrust laws in the United States.

But he, too, was driven by greed, and while he lived, he became ill and died. The doctor will prescribe him. He was a wealthy man earning 40 million won a day, but he couldn't eat more than 1,000 won. More than ten rules were laid down for living.

It was only in the face of death that he realized how insignificant he was and found his faith. He came to know the amazing power and novelty of faith, and he came to know clearly that there is another world. He found a way to live, founded the Rockefeller Foundation, and spent the rest of his life rewarding.

Yes, it is one of the organizations that feeds war orphans in our country and does many good works in the world today.

God does not want us to die in vain and worthless lives.

That is why Jesus Christ was sent to this earth to find the true way of life in Jesus. The blessings of life given through Jesus are endless. The way, the truth, the life, the well of water that never thirsts, the guidance and indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the grace of companionship

If the good things in the world are good, the other is not good, and we get them through thirsty longing, but soon we become disappointed and meaningless.

If we go back to today's Word, we will know what the joy of faith is and how great the price of faith is.

There was a person. He was an ordinary person, and he was a man who lived a life of working in the morning and resting in the evening, getting up and working and resting again.

When something goes well, he feels bad, and one plus one is one, two plus two is four. He was a man who lived only in such a calculation. Looking at the words of the text, he appears as a man who plows the field.

He was also a man who plowed other people's fields. So, what was the fun while working? He is a person who only wants the work to be finished quickly. But he was such a hard worker.

Then he makes a surprising discovery. While plowing a field, he finds an object caught in a plow. It was, surprisingly, a treasure. A treasure trove had been found.

Its value was enormous. He comes to taste the excitement and joy as if he has stopped breathing there. Then, he carefully buries it in the land, and then sells all he owns and buys the field.

Jesus compared this parable to heaven. If heaven is a country where God rules, then this is faith. We are here to receive some valuable lessons of faith.

1, This is the stage of the life of faith in which we live without meaning and do not know the true faith.

Just like a farmer plowing a field, there is human reward and joy, but there is no fresh and surprising emotion in his life, such a life, such faith.

When you first believe in Jesus--Curiosity about new things There is nothing more meaningful than freshness to encounter a new world.

Life here is a life that changes continuously according to the surrounding conditions.

Yes.... the life of the people of Israel in the wilderness

an unregenerate member

The life of faith is the life of plowing the field.

?? Prayer, evangelism, service, loyalty, devotion . . . . . . .

Whoever found the treasure plowed deeply. Even if you have not discovered the true meaning of your life of faith, you must work hard. Then you will find the treasure.

2. The stage of becoming a believer who finds treasure and rejoices

While living while laughing and crying depending on the surrounding environment, this person discovers a treasure trove and brings about a new life change.

The discovery of the treasure is an unexpected event that changes his life in an instant. It is an unexpected event, but it is a very good event for him.

The greatest of the phenomena that appeared to him after he found the treasure is joy.

In this way, faith brings joy to the saints.

The work of the Holy Spirit pleases the saints.

Joy that flows like a river, the Holy Spirit is coming.

A believer must have joy that cannot be taken away from any worries, worries, failures, and hardships in this world. He cannot grow into a true Christian if the joy of possessing heaven is easily overshadowed by the cares of the world and the lure of wealth.

Whether you are a true Christian depends on whether you have this inner possession of joy.

3. The stage of selling all that one owns and buying a field

Until he bought the field, the treasure is not yet his, so this man is selling his possessions to buy the field.

Selling possessions is painful for people. It is difficult to raise money for business by selling paddy fields because the business is not going well. It is sad to sell household goods because there is nothing to eat.

But if you sell your possessions to buy a better house and better land, selling is not a pain but a pleasure. To others, it may seem foolish. But only those who live know the secret.

Heaven is like this. Even if I lose everything in the world, if I have gained the Lord, I have nothing more to hope for. - This is true faith.

Everything is in the Lord

As long as you get the treasure, you can buy multiple ships of your possession, so there is no need to worry. not subject to comparison. This is the meaning of faith.

What is important is the measure of your faith whether you believe and know that this path of faith you are walking is truly like a treasure.

Some people know faith like a stone. Some people know it as a piece of wood or iron. Therefore, they do not try to obtain it, nor do they try to obtain it because they do not know its value.

So there is no joy and sometimes it is tiring and compulsion. The Bible clearly teaches us that it is far more profitable for us to have faith, even if we sell all we have.

Mark 10:29-30 Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, he who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for me and for the sake of the gospel, is not in an instant, but houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children, There is no one who will not receive a hundredfold of land, but with persecution, and in the age to come eternal life
