Title: The Victory of King Asa

Contents

Bible Text: 2 Chronicles 14:11-15 Title: The Victory of King Asa!

1) Asa praying

Serah the Cushite invaded Judah with a million men and 300 chariots.

King Asa of Judah prayed to God.

He pleaded with God, 'Between the strong and the weak, there is no one to help but the Lord.' He described himself as a weakling, a sign of his humility.

It is also proof that he knew exactly himself, who was weak and sinful before God.

And Asa prayed, 'Let no man overcome you.'

Here, man has the meaning of being a fragile being, an existence that has no choice but to die. Therefore, Asa, even though Zerah's army was over a million,

I knew they were insignificant.

Asa had already had the confidence to win.

a. Asa crying out to the Lord (2 Chronicles 14:10-11)

b. Relying on the Lord is the key to victory (2 Chronicles 15:18)

2) Asa's victory

God heard Asa's prayer and defeated the Cushites before Asa and Judah. In other words, God made them flee with fear and astonishment, and the army of Cush, which seemed so strong,

It was scattered like a sword. The result of victory through God's power is always abundant. Asa and the people of Judah were able to obtain many spoils by winning the war against Serah.

There was. Serah's army, who carried out the invasion, trusting only a huge army, trusted in the Lord.

He was defeated without a doubt in front of the soldiers of Judah.

As such, unbelievers always rely on worldly power, wealth, and honor.

They are of no value in Jehovah God evil.

Cush's invasion brought not only victory to Judah, but also many spoils.

made you take it. For those who have such faith, hardship and adversity

On the contrary, it may even be beneficial.

a. God fights for his people (Exodus 14:14)

b. Excessive spoils (2 Chronicles 14:13)

Conclusion.

When Asa, king of Judah, lived a life worthy of God, God gave Judah peace.

The peace that men give is temporary and untrue, but the peace that God gives is true joy and

It gives us satisfaction. Therefore, by following the footsteps of Asa's life,

We must live a life worthy of the Lord's sight so that we can enjoy the true peace that the Lord gives us.
