Title: The Voice of God Hearing to You
God's voice to you (Hebrews 11:24-26)
If there is one greatest tragedy of the believer, it is the fading of God's voice to us. There is a person in the history of Israel who suffered such a tragedy. It was the priest Eli. How about you? Can you hear God's voice? It may have nothing to do with our office and the presence of God's voice. Then, how can I listen to the voice of God who calls me without losing sight of it? Through the life of Moses, we can learn several ways to hear God's voice.
First, in order to hear the voice of God, we must reject what we ought to reject.
Moses refused to be called the princess' son. At the age of 40, he knew who he was, and he rejected Egypt's education and easy way. He was determined, and he knew how to say no. So is Joseph. He knew how to resist Potiphar's temptation in his youth. The same goes for Daniel's three friends. They said "no". Everyone! God is still looking for His people. Today, when we all have to say “no”, may we all have the wonderful blessing of hearing the voice of God by refusing to say no.
Second, we must resist the pleasures of this world.
Gentlemen, the Bible says, 'There is something in this world that brings us joy.' There are joys in this world too, but they are only temporary. Don't indulge in the hobbies of your world. Look to the kingdom of God. If you have money and time to spend on the pleasures of the world, use it to help the afflicted. Strive for the cause of God. Remember that the right use of money can be a measure of your faith. Proverbs 23:4.5 says, "Do not seek to be rich, but put aside your private wisdom; how can you pay attention to vanity? Surely riches give wings and fly away like the eagles in the sky."
The limit period passes. Autumn begins now. I don't think there is a better season to hear God's voice like this autumn. And in your mind, 'Lord, what do I have to refuse?' 'What part of pleasure should be cut off?' I pray, 'Aren't you still living in the folly of not being able to look to the Lord because of your greed for money?' and I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become precious saints who discover you in nature.
