Title: The Washed One (Mic. 07:18-19)

Contents 1. The sea to purify.

If you ask young children what is the biggest thing in the world, you will often find that they are talking about the sky, the sea and the earth. When we contemplate the sky, the sea, and the earth, we can think of many things, but one of the things we are most grateful for is the cleansing of the filth in this world.

The sky does the work of purifying the bad air we send out, the sea also cleans the dirty water we throw away to the sky and sends it back to us, and the earth also gives the dirty waste we throw away as clean food again. is. That is why we would not be able to live a day without the sky and the earth and the sea because of the filth.

Of course, these days, even the sea is polluted, and there are stories that leopards living in the sea are dying and the meat is becoming polluted. There is a story that the pesticides come up together, but somehow the sky, the earth and the sea are still doing a grateful job of making dirty things clean again for us. If there were no such sky, land and sea, we would have already died of gas, garbage, and filthy water.

If we really think about it, the world does not become clean just because we have the sea, the land, and the sky to clean things up like this. You can see that you can live with a pure heart. If people were to live their lives without washing their filthy hearts, the world would probably have become a more unlivable world than the filthy sea, land, or sky.

2. The God of Cleansing

In today's Bible verse, it is recorded that it is God who does such things. In today's text, the Prophet Micah confesses:

What god is like you? You forgive iniquity, and pass over the iniquity of the remnant of his inheritance, and because you delight in kindness, you never cherish wrath. He says that He will have mercy on us again, and will tread our iniquities under His feet and cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

The joint translation reads this verse as follows: Where can there be a god like God? This little group of people who cannot be handed over to others. God forgives us no matter what we have done, no matter how offensive we may be, He closes our eyes. It is the joy of God. Isn’t it a matter of showing unchanging love? So how can we end our anger? Would you please turn your heart and have mercy on us and destroy all our iniquities. Sweep me into the deep sea

This is the confession of Prophet Micah, who sees and confesses to the people of Israel who continue to be rebellious and atrocious. A God who forgives us no matter how bad we do, and closes our eyes no matter how offensive we are. A God who makes it a pleasure to show unconditional love. Just like the sea receives dirty water and makes it clean, the earth receives dirty waste and makes it clean, and the sky receives dirty air and makes it clean. He was saying that God will also cleanse the stains of the heart of this world.

3. God washes away our sins

However, you can see that many people do not know that it is God who cleanses the dirt of our hearts, just as the dirty air, garbage and water of this world pass by without knowing who cleans them. That is why many people do not know how or where to solve it, even if they are angry or greedy, even if they do something they shouldn't do. It's like a foolish man who doesn't know how to throw dirty water into the sea even though it keeps collecting dirty water in a river, and traps garbage and air without sending it to the earth and sky. That's why people keep getting more and more dirty. Just as if you don't wash your dirty body once, you'll become numb no matter how dirty you are afterwards. That is why there is an old saying that a cow needle thief is a cow thief.

When I was a kid, I once begged my sister to drink water at my uncle's house, but she said that she brought me home because she was busy. However, whenever I remembered, I often heard stories about how he got angry because he insisted on going back to his uncle's house to eat. People remember what we did wrong and talk about it whenever they think of it, but the prophet Rain confesses that God throws all our errors into the depths of the sea and treads all our sins underfoot.

What are you doing with your defiled heart? Are you just looking at your rotten, stinky heart? Today, the Lord is telling us that I am doing the same thing as the sea, the earth, and the sky to purify the dirt of my heart. .

4. We wash to God

Sometimes we see our bodies and minds living with our sins in our bodies, like those who don't let out the dirty air, garbage and water and keep them in the house. Sometimes you can see them getting hurt by the poison that someone else has put out. Today, our Lord is saying that it is God who removes such poison to us and our world, which is dying and full of filthy sins, just like a world full of filthy garbage.

What kind of sin are you offended by? Today our Lord is telling us that no matter how rebellious we are, no matter how bad we do, He closes our eyes and throws our filthy sins into the sea and treads under our feet. It means that our Lord will wash away any sins. We pray that we will be clean by putting all our sins before the Lord, and that we will become friends in middle school who live a clean life by purifying the dirty water of this world.
