Title: The Way to Fulfill God's Call

The way to fulfill the calling (Exodus 4:1-31)

罐=? can be looked at from two aspects. One is the call to be saved children. And second, it is the call to the mission that the saved receive. Those who have received salvation in their souls must respond with the mission of the Lord's work.

1. 罐=?Features

(1)   = ? Purpose: Salvation

When God called Moses, he commanded the Israelites to lead them out of Egypt. At that time, what did Moses ask the elders of Israel to ask the king of Egypt to allow the exodus from Egypt? Specifically, it was to go on a three-day journey and tell God to offer sacrifices (Exodus 3:17-18). What kind of sacrifice will you offer to Jehovah as a way to save Israel here? It is a sacrifice offered through the blood of a lamb. In other words, the first purpose of God's calling is to be sure of the forgiveness of sins by believing that the blood of Jesus Christ is the saving power that paid the price for our sins.

(2) Worship of the saved people

God, who called Moses and entrusted him with this mission, rescued the Israelites from Egypt through Moses, led them to Mt. Sinai, and allowed them to stay under Mt. Sinai for one year. The place where I stayed was a place to worship God. Therefore, being in a position to serve God is itself evidence of being called to God.

Those who testify of Jesus Christ

Those who believe in Jesus lead not only to worship, but also to testify of the God they have met.

2. Moses who was afraid of = (vv. 1-17).

(1) Unbelief and disobedience (v. 1)

But, in today's text, verse 1, how did Moses respond to the word =? (Verse 1) He was disbelieving and disobeying. So, what God showed Moses is a miracle. When Moses was not obeying immediately and was doubtful, God showed three miracles.

(2) ? Verses 2-9).

First, the first miracle is that the staff becomes a serpent and the serpent becomes a staff (verses 2-4).

What sound does God make through this miracle? "You will catch Pharaoh's tail". “Pharaoh will turn and bite you, but you will overcome Pharaoh.” Why did he show this sign? This is so that the God of the fathers of Israel might believe what appeared to Moses (verse 5). Even if it is uncomfortable and weak, if God asks, “What do you have?” Please answer, “God, here you are.” Then, I believe that God will give you the power to give you all things.

We must embrace and change what we have (verse 20). What kind of staff did Moses take after answering  罐=? It is no longer the staff in the wilderness of Midian, like the one Moses used to lead the sheep, but now he is carrying a rod.

Second, the second miracle is that if you put Moses' hand into his bosom and pull it out, leprosy will come, and if he puts his hand into his bosom again and pulls it out, he will be clean again as before (verses 6-7). The reason God showed these miracles was to show in advance that He would give the grace of cleansing. Even our filthy souls will be cleansed. Why did you show this sign? This is so that they may believe in the God of Moses (verse 8).

Third, the third miracle is that if the Nile River is dug up and put on land, its water will become blood (verse 9). If you do not believe both miracles, the third miracle is that you will believe. The first and second miracles do not directly harm the land of Egypt. It's just a miracle that made the people of Israel believe. However, the third miracle is a miracle that directly harms Egypt.

Excuses (verse 10)

But what was Moses' attitude when he saw these three signs of miracles? “I can't. I can't speak. What should I do? I can’t.” What did God do at that time? (verse 14) “The Lord was angry with Moses, and he was angry.” If you believe in God and not believe in yourself, this is unbelief. Because I believe in God, I have to believe that I am in myself. He speaks to us today. “What do you have?” God says he will use.

Attaching a prophet (verses 11-17)

Moses also made this excuse when he was receiving mercy and making excuses. He had a stiff mouth and a dull tongue, so he could not speak. What did God convince Moses to do at this time? (Verses 11-12) He is the Creator God. And God reminded him of Moses' brother Aaron (verses 15, 16). God wants Moses' brother Aaron to be Moses' prophet. Aaron was going to have him preach the word directly to the people of Israel. What is even more surprising is that Aaron will increase his authority so that he can become Moses' prophet and make Moses like God before his brother. So, take the staff in your hand and perform miracles (verse 17). Now Moses only has to obey. If you obey, you will appear in good spirits, and if you disobey, you will be completely irrelevant (1 Corinthians 4:20).

3. The supreme guidance (vv. 18-26).

(1) Person: Moses’ father-in-law’s permission (verse 18)

(2) Environment: All those who tried to kill Moses died (verse 19).

Judgment: The wrath of the king of Egypt was wrath (verses 20-23)

Salvation: Salvation is achieved with the blood of the Lamb (verses 24-26).

God was trying to kill Moses. It was because he had not circumcised his son. Circumcision is a covenant between God and man. If he did not perform the circumcision, he would be cut off, and he would not be able to enjoy the blessings in the promised land of Canaan (Genesis 17:14). However, when Zipporah circumcised his son Gershom, he was relieved, Moses lived again. Her husband was rescued by the shedding of her son's blood. Moses was the husband who paid for his son's blood. So he made them flee from wrath. That's right. The blood of Jesus Christ pays the penalty for sin and makes it possible. We are redeemed by the shedding of the blood of Jesus. It is salvation through the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ.

God still commands us to save souls with the blood of the Lamb.

Even if we don't have anything, God can do great things through us. Please do not make excuses for not being able to do it or get discouraged because it is difficult. God, who made his mouth, puts the word on his lips so that he can preach the gospel, and even if he doesn't have someone to speak to, he can receive the gospel and save the mortal life.

Ministry: Let's raise even one soul from the dead because we testify of the gospel.
