Hebrews 12;1-4
<Let us look to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despicing the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
I am trying to open up this story.
The story of Dr. Kang Woo-young, a visually impaired person who travels all over the country and testifies these days, is impressive.
He served seven years as Assistant Secretary of State under President Bush. He lost his sight when he was hit by a ball in the eye while playing soccer in his freshman year of middle school. The mother passed out when her son went blind and then passed away. Because I was shocked.
Despite his despair, he did not despair, and went to the United States to study and receive a doctorate in education. And I started caring for the disabled. So I became an advisor to the White House Department of Social Services.
Dr. Kang overcame two weaknesses: the blind obstacle and immigrant. It has been a huge advantage.
It was when he was wandering blind. As already mentioned, his mother passed away and the family was scattered and there was no one to look after him. He served Jesus well in despair. I was not lazy in my prayer life.
Park Eun-ok, who graduated from college at that time, became a volunteer and helped him. She served as his sister and later became his wife.
After that, they moved to the United States together and helped my husband get a Ph.D.
