Title: The Wisdom of Solomon

Title: The Wisdom of Solomon (1 Kings 3:11-14; 4:29-30)

That's right. I hope you will realize that the time we worship is the happiest time and that this is the way to gain true wisdom.

The content of this text tells how Solomon obtained wisdom.

So, how did Solomon acquire unprecedented wisdom?

1) I asked God.

11 Then God said to him, "You are asking for this. You did not seek for yourself long life, nor wealth, nor did you seek to destroy the life of your enemies, but you sought the wisdom of hearing and discernment. I give you my heart, there was no one like you before you, and no one like you will arise after you.

Solomon asked God for wisdom to hear and discern.

The Lord says

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind." do.

Therefore, we must ask God, who gives generously and without reproach, for wisdom.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

I hope you believe that you will give us wisdom through prayer.

Then under what circumstances will prayers not be answered?

1. When we pray without breaking up the enmity (Matthew 5:23-24, Matthew 18:18)

2. When we pray without forgiving others (Matthew 6:15, Mark 11:25)

3. When you pray without repenting of your sins and transgressions (Luke 19:8)

4. When you are arrogant and envy others, criticize, and pray (Ephesians 4:30 Galatians 5:13)

5. When you pray against the will of God (Isaiah 59:1-3)

6. When you pray to spend it on your lusts (James 4:3)

7. When you pray without faith (Hebrews 11:6)

8. When you pray while doubting (James 1:6)

9. When you pray without giving thanks (Luke 17:11-19)

10. When you pray without harmony between husband and wife (1 Peter 3:7)

But when Solomon sought wisdom, 11 he did not seek for himself long life, nor riches, nor did he seek to destroy the life of his enemies, but he sought the wisdom of hearing accusations and discernment. There was no one like you before you, and there will be no one like you after you. 13 And I also give you the riches and the glory you did not ask for, and there will be none like you among kings in your lifetime.

Like Solomon, we believe that when we ask for wisdom with a pure heart, He will give us even what we do not ask for.

Like Solomon, let us seek wisdom. So, I hope that a precious work of great use for the glory of God will come.
