Old Testament
1. On the third day Esther, wearing the queen's robes, stood in the inner court of the royal palace, opposite the temple, and the king sat on the throne in the palace facing the front door.
2. When I saw Queen Esther standing in the courtyard, she was very lovely, so I held out the golden scepter that she was holding in her hand, and Esther approached and touched the tip of the golden scepter.
3. The king said, "Queen Esther, what are your wishes and demands? I will give you half of the kingdom."
4. Esther said, "Today I have prepared a feast for the king. If the king pleases it, then come with Haman."
new testament
17. I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who cause strife or to stumbling against the lessons you have been taught, and to turn away from them. 18. Such ones do not serve Christ our Lord, but serve only their own belly. Words deceive the hearts of the innocent.
19. Your obedience is heard by all, therefore I rejoice over you, and I want you to be wise in what is good and foolish in what is evil.
20. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
sermon
Esther was walking around the room, not knowing what to do. Wicked Haman decided to kill all the Jews, because the king approved him.
All. Esther was queen, but she had no power to save her people. In order to be rescued, you have to go before the king and make a petition.
Because no one, even if she was a queen, would be killed if she went before the king. Moreover, Esther was hiding her Jewish identity.
Esther was safe. No one knew he was Jewish except Mordecai, his cousin, who raised him like a daughter. Mordecai sat at the gates of the palace
Arthur tore his clothes and cried aloud. Haman, a servant whom the king trusted, devised a scheme, and on December 13, all Jews, young and old, children and women alike.
It was because they received orders to kill, steal, and seize property and distribute them throughout the country. Mordecai informs Esther of this, and how can you do it, since you are the queen?
asked me to do it Mordecai urged Esther to act to save the nation, saying, “I think you are in the palace, and among all the Jews, you alone will save your life
Don't do it. If you remain silent at this time, there will be release and deliverance for the Jews by other means, but you and your father's house will perish. you are the king
Who knows if it is not for this time that I have obtained a later position.”
Esther heard this and made up her mind. He answered Mordecai, “Gather all the Jews in Shushan, fast and pray for me. After I fasted
I will go to the king against the ordinances, and if I die, I will die.” Great Esther. Although she was young and frail, she was not afraid of death.
and jumped into the work of saving God's people. At last Esther and all the Jews' prayers were answered by God. The king remembers the queen Esther who appeared before him.
Without hesitation, he held out the golden scepter and accepted him, and he granted his request.
Evil Haman was slain by hanging from the pole he had set up for Mordecai, and all those who joined Haman's work were also killed by the Jews.
became a thing Esther's courage saved the nation from destruction.
God is still looking for faithful servants today. Who are the servants who will be used in God's saving work to save lives by caring for the souls of their neighbors? although weak
Even today, through faithful servants who believe in God's power even though they have no power, God is working through the work of salvation.
