Sermons for Preaching

Title: The Worker's Duty/Titus Verse 25

Content Titus 15 What is the mission of a minister? (verse 15)

1). A minister has the duty to exhort and rebuke believers who have always preached the truth and went out on the road with the word of God.

2). Preaching the gospel is because there is a command from God (Acts 5:20, 2 Tim 4:2), and the mission is given not only to the clergy but also to all believers who believe in God (Acts 1:8).

(Acts 5:19) An angel of the Lord opened the prison door by night and brought him out, saying,

(Acts 5:20) Go, stand in the temple, and tell the people all the words of this life.

(2 Timothy 4:2) Preach the word. Be persistent, in season and out of season, rebuke, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.

(Acts 1:8) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

3). Also, when exhorting or rebuking believers who have committed wrongdoings, we must act with the Word (Matthew 28:20; 1 Tim. 4:11; 2 Tim. 2:25).

4). Because it is to enlighten them and lead them to the right path of the gospel so that they can realize the greater love of God than before.

5).The saints should also serve their own interests by obeying the work of the clergy (Hebrews 13:17).

(Hebrews 13:17) Be obedient to those who lead you and be submissive, for they watch for your souls as if they were accountants. Let them do this with joy, not with sorrow, otherwise it is to your advantage. there is no

6). In this way, ministers and believers should strive to build up the body of Christ, the church (Ephesians 1:23, Colossians 1:24), by working hard on correct teaching and practice together.

(Ephesians 1:23) The church is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all (Colossians 1:24). fill up

Titus Chapter 3

Chapter 3 The Attitude of Believers in a Disbelieving Society

1. What is the content of this chapter?

1). This chapter is an expanded version of Chapter 2 and explains the attitude that believers should have toward the state and unbelievers and the attitude that Titus should take toward heresy.

2). The saints who believe in God have a duty to keep the correct laws of the world because their physical life takes place on earth, although their status belongs to heaven.

3). In other words, you must obey your country by doing good deeds and cooperate so that you can use the authority that God has granted to government officials correctly.

4). And the saints should try to show meekness and the love of Christ to unbelievers by remembering that they dwelt in lust and iniquity before they were saved.

5). Also, rather than arguing with heretics, it is better to admonish them once or twice and then stay away from them and do something good and useful to people.

6). In this way, believers must perform the roles of light and salt (Matthew 5:13-16) by actually going out into the world to do what they have learned and trained in the church.

(Matthew 5:13) Ye are the salt of the world; if salt loses its taste, with what is it salted?

(Matthew 5:14) You are the light of the world; a city on a hill cannot hide it.

(Matthew 5:15) People light a lamp and do not put it under a lamp, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

(Matthew 5:16) In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Titus 1 What is the attitude that believers should have toward the state? (Verse 1)

1). Believers must be loyal to the state, obey the law, pay taxes, etc.

2).Because God has given the authorities the authority to rule and rule the country (Romans 13:1-7).

(Romans 13:1) Let each one be subject to the superior authorities. There is no authority except from God, and all authority is ordained of God.

(Romans 13:7) Give all you have to give, but pay tribute to those who are to be taxed, and to those who are taxed, be fearful of those you are afraid of, and honor those whom you honor.

3). Therefore, it is right for believers to pay taxes to those who deserve it, to fear those to fear, and to obey the laws of the country.

4).However, when the rulers in power command them to do evil that is contrary to God's will, believers must refuse even if they receive punishment.

5). Because believers must obey God before men (Acts 4:19, 1 Peter 2:13).

(Acts 4:19) Peter and John answered and said, Judge whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God.

(Ephesians 6:1) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

6). Therefore, believers should not ignore or deny the state, but recognize it as an institution established by God as necessary and cooperate for good and beneficial to society. However, if the state conducts politics that departs from God's law, it should be able to point out it with a firm attitude.

Titus 1 What are the rulers to do? (Verse 1)

1). The rulers of the kingdoms of this world must know that it is God who first established the kingdom and gave the authority to rule it.

2). Therefore, rulers must remember that government must be in accordance with the good will of God.

3). So they should try to get rid of evil in the country by judging the people rightly (cf. Deuteronomy 27:19, 2 Chron 19:6).

4). Also, we must not make unjust laws for the selfish interests of individuals or privileged classes (Isa 10:1,28:14,15).

(Isa 10:1) They issue unrighteous decrees, write unrighteous words,

(Isa 10:2) Woe to him who judges the poor unjustly, deprives the poor of my people, extorts widows, and plunders orphans!

5). And you must not take someone else's things for unjust gain (Nehemiah 5:7, Isaiah 3:14, Eze 22:27, 45:9) or accept bribes (Proverbs 29:4).

(Ezekiel 45:9) It is enough for you, rulers of Israel, says the Sovereign LORD: Put away violence and extortion, and practice fairness and justice, and cease extorting my people, saith the Sovereign LORD.

(Ezekiel 45:10) You shall use a fair scale, a fair ephah, and a fair bath.

(Proverbs 29:4) With justice a king establishes a kingdom, but he who compels a bribe destroys the kingdom.

6). In this way, rulers should not engage in evil politics, but rule with upright justice (2 Samuel 23:3, Proverbs 16:12, 29:4) to make the whole country a just and peaceful atmosphere.

(2 Samuel 23:3) The God of Israel spoke, and the rock of Israel said to me, Those who rule in righteousness, those who rule in the fear of God.

(2Sa 23:4) He is like the morning light of the rising sun, like a morning without a cloud, like new grass sprouting from the earth with the rays of the sun after rain.

(Proverbs 29:4) With justice a king establishes a kingdom, but he who compels a bribe destroys the kingdom.
