Title: The wrath of King Ahasuerus (7:5-7)

Content 34. The wrath of King Ahasuerus (7:5-7)

Esther, knowing that it was time to plead for her people, was able to crush Haman's plot by boldly telling the king her wish. = Esther's wise attitude instructs the saints to shake off their fears and make decisions in an attitude that does not spare their lives when they judge that the time has come to dedicate themselves to the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ.

1. A king who knows conspirators (v. 5)

* The king hears Esther and asks who and where is the conspiracy. = King Ahasuerus had allowed Haman's evil plans a while ago, but he did not know that the target was the Jewish people. = In order to accomplish their evil deeds, the wicked deceive good people by telling many lies.

* This is an expression implying that King Ahasuerus did not know Esther's nationality yet in "Who has these things in his heart".

* The king's enraged question was what Esther had been waiting for, and it was a golden opportunity to save the Jews, but for Haman, it was a foreshadowing of the imminent judgment.

(Proverbs 12:5) “The thoughts of the righteous are upright, but the counsel of the wicked is deceit.”

(Psalm 27:2) “My adversary, my enemy, the evildoer, came to me to eat my flesh, and he stumbled and fell.”

2. Haman trembling with fear (v. 6)

* Esther does not miss the opportunity to speak and makes it clear that Haman was the conspirator of the genocide of her people. = This is because he thoroughly believed in God's walk and had courage.

* Haman did not realize the destruction that was coming to him until he went to the feast on the second day. Rather, he was looking for an opportunity to frame Mordecai.

* Esther tried to restore her honor through the feast, but, contrary to the plan, a threat to her life was approaching. = Had he been aware of and reflected on the things he did to honor Mordecai, his downfall could have been avoided.

(Acts 14:3) “The two apostles lived a long time, speaking boldly through the Lord, testifying to the word of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders with their hands” (Acts 14:3).

(Job 15:21-22) “A marvelous sound is heard in his ears, and when he prospers, the destroyer will come upon him; he does not hope to come out of darkness, but becomes the waiting of the edge of the sword.”

3. The king's wrath (v. 7)

* When the king realizes that the plot to assassinate the queen is from Haman, he cannot control his anger, so he leaves his seat for a while and goes to the patronage to quench his anger. / This is because he felt betrayed by the fact that he had been deceived by a servant who trusted the most in an unexpected way that he had recently approved a plan to kill the queen.

(Proverbs 14:19) “The wicked bow before the good, and the unrighteous at the gate of the righteous.”
