there is still a test
Matthew 4:5-11
One day, a woman was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack. In a dim consciousness, she prayed to God, "God, am I going to die now?" And God answered, "No, you will live another 40 years." The woman was relieved and the operation was successfully completed. As time passed and my heart returned to normal, I remembered the word of God that I would live another 40 years, so I had a love for life and wanted to live the remaining 40 years beautifully. I even had major plastic surgeries such as lifting the nose and removing wrinkles, liposuction, and belly fat removal. And two months later, on the way out of the hospital, he died in a car accident in front of the hospital. The woman who went to heaven asked God. "No, didn't you say that God has 40 more years left? But what do you do if you bring him back so early?" Then God looked at this woman's face and answered." I thought it was someone else..."
It is a momentary thought that a person falls into greed. It is very difficult to resist temptation in front of humans who want to move toward something better. If there is something good, I run everywhere, and if I can get something good, I try to do anything. So, instead of always being tempted by the worse, the temptation comes from the better, and that leads to temptation. It is for this reason that excessive greed causes anger and a mind that is ahead causes problems. I miss the exam because the results always look good. Beyond temptation, it seems like dreams will always unfold. it gets worse No one will fall into the temptation, and no one will fall into temptation, if he says he is more ugly. But it's easy to fall for the test when you think there's always a sweeter outcome and a much better payoff.
How are we living? Sometimes it tempts us to pretend that what is not the truth is the truth. Even though there is a very clear answer, there are tests lurking in the element that once again cause conflict. The more you try to live truthfully and live properly, the more you will face trials.
Pottery bakers never try to tap broken pottery with their fingers. Because it is already broken, there is no need to knock. However, after taking it out of the furnace, make sure to knock on the well-cleaned pottery. It looks fine on the outside, but I'm checking to see if there's something wrong on the inside. The same is true. A person who is sloppy and boring to live at all, such a personality is not put to the test. The smarter you are, the easier it is to pass the exam. Sometimes there are others who put these people to the test. These people don't know because they live sloppily and haven't been tested. That's why I find it funny to put others to the test. This is bad.
There is a saying, “If you are ignorant, you are brave.” Even if they do not have faith at all, do not know the Bible, and have believed in Jesus for a long time, it does not matter whether the words are hurtful or not. I do it without even thinking about it. I only think of myself. They don't know that everyone else thinks they are the same, and on the one hand, doubting or looking down on other people is, on the other hand, an indication that their life is like that. This is ignorance and bravery.
In any case, everyone who wants to live a good life has a test. Any form of temptation is bound to happen to anyone who wants to live by faith.
However, there is one point we need to point out. It is a misunderstanding of the exam. Occasionally, there are people who have a misunderstanding about the exam, but I do something wrong, make a mistake, and after something happens, there are things that happen as a result, and they misunderstand this as a test. The result of my obvious error is not a test, but a judgment. It is not saying that you will endure the judgment you deserve, thinking that it is a test.
Today's text also tells the story of Jesus being tempted. This is the story of the first being tempted when he wants to accomplish the great work of saving all people. Satan comes to Jesus and gives him three temptations.
The first is a test of material nature. Verse 3. “Make bread out of stones” is a test. In a word, it is an economic test. Jesus is fasting now. Food is what a hungry person needs most. The most pressing need for the poor is financial self-sufficiency. This temptation of the devil toward Jesus today is like an economic temptation coming to us today. It makes you think that the root of all problems lies in the economy. That is, money is everything. If you have money, you can be happy, and if you have enough money and live well, all your problems will be solved naturally. This is what Marx cried out in the past, and many communists followed. But it's not like that. We have learned the hard way that this is never the case.
Dear saints!
Satan makes us believe absolutely in our desires. Please don't miss out here. And do not fall into the test of compromise to take glory without suffering. Not only that, the heroic mentality ruins the will of God. When you feel that it is only me and you must take on the task, think again. You can overcome temptation by taking a step back while thinking, 'There are many other people besides me, and I have other work to do.' there should be
