Title (Thursday) There is a problem within me

Hymn: 433 “I lifted up my eyes and saw the mountain” / Meditation: The reason for my failure is not because of my mediocrity, but because of my inferiority complex, not realizing my worth as a child of God. / Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed / Text: Judges 3:26-31
Hearing a lecture about her life changed the inmates. What is noteworthy about her is that she did not fall into the fatalistic theory of 'why is my destiny like this' and that she constantly challenged and tried to overcome her own problems. This is a story of very ordinary and ordinary people, perhaps we are living lamenting our lives because of a sense of inferiority.
The text shows that God did amazing things by using Ehud and Shamgar, who were weak and lead ordinary lives. After all, it teaches us that the reason we fail is not our mediocrity, but our faulty thinking.
All problems are within me. God saved Israel after 18 years of slavery through the dedication of one man, Ehud, who was weak as a left-handed person. God uses those who are devoted to God and who are completely dependent on God. My weakness doesn't matter.
The idea that my little dedication is worthless is also a problem. As a farmer, Shamgar was a simple judge who saved Israel with a stick to drive an ox, an ordinary tool of livelihood. God also treasured and remembered his faithful heart in small things. Verse 31 clearly states, “He also saved Israel.” God transforms ordinary life into extraordinary life and uses it for God's work. It starts with a change of our own mind.
Prayer: Help me to realize my precious value in God. Help me to overcome my inner sense of inferiority and become a person of God used in this age. Amen.
