Title: Think deeply about Jesus
Contents
Bible Text: Hebrews 3:1-6
ponder jesus
My mother said that a woman has 12 thoughts while carrying the table to her room. According to a book written by a psychiatrist, humans have 60,000 thoughts a day, 95% of which were thoughts the day before or the day before. This is it. Then we come to the conclusion that it is very difficult to change your mind. .
“Consider how the lily grows, it does not toil and does not weave, but even Solomon, dressed in all his glory, was not as dressed as this one.”
Why does Jesus say think of lilies and look? “If God cloths the grass of the field that is today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more do you think it is you, you of little faith! Do not ask what you will eat or drink, and do not be troubled” (Luke 12:27-29).
Jesus taught the art of thinking. Jesus said to think of the lily and believe in God. He taught that if you believe in God, you will not be troubled.
Today is the Sunday to appoint new workers for 2011. “Think deeply about Jesus” It means to think deeply about how Jesus did the work that God had entrusted to him.
He was faithful to the one who established him.
He tells us to ponder Jesus, who is “… faithful to Him who established Him” (v. 2).
Faithfulness means “faithfulness.” You just have to trust it. trust goes. To be trusted, you must be faithful. Faithfulness, in other words, is sincerity, loyalty. Jesus was faithful to the one who established him. Not a lack of wisdom, but a lack of sincerity. Integrity is the highest human value. A sincere heart is a holy heart.
“Consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest.” An apostle is a person who has been sent with a special mission. The one who is sent is an apostle. Jesus is the Apostle sent by God into the world. You are the one who goes where you are sent.
A father sent his eldest son to work in the vineyard today. I answered “yes” but did not go. I told my second son to go to the vineyard today and work. I said “no” but later went to work.
Who listened to his father? second son. After rebelling, he repented and went to the vineyard. The eldest son deceived his father. He was not faithful to his father.
Jesus was faithful as a high priest. A high priest is a priest who represents the people before God and engages in sacrificial activities. In the Old Testament times, the high priest offered daily grain offerings and performed the sacrifice of atonement for the people.
Jesus as the high priest in the book of Hebrews is completely different from the high priest in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, the high priest became a mediator between God and the people by offering the sacrifices brought by the people, but Jesus became the mediator by offering himself as a sacrifice.
Giving up his body is the crystallization of Jesus' faithfulness. “Therefore, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1).
All positions are gifts from God. We must not disappoint the God who has given us the office, and we must not make him regret it.
God said, “I regret that I made Saul king. He does not fulfill my commands” (1 Samuel 15:11). God regretted making Saul king. Because he did not follow the will of God who had established him as a king.
Jesus was the “Apostle”. He was sent as the missionary of the savior of mankind. The sender is understood as being the same as the sender. The one who is sent takes the place of the one who sent it. Moses was sent by God to Pharaoh, and Jesus was sent by God to the world.
We, too, have to go where they send. You must take the place of the one who sent it. That is what is faithful to the One who established us. Loyalty is a prerequisite. Loyalty is called Loyalty. Without royalties, it is unbelievable.
There is a saying called Jaein Park Deok (才人薄德). It means that you have talent but no virtue. If you have the ability but don't have loyalty, you're not a useful person. Loyalty is more important than skill.
It must be absolute to the one who established it. It is important to be someone you can trust. “Who has known the heart of the Lord, and who has been his counselor?” (Romans 11:34).
Jesus prayed like this. “I have glorified you in this world by doing what you gave me to do…glorify me” (John 17:4-5) . If I do God's work, I will be glorified. May you be glorified by being faithful to the work of God who established you.
As a son, he faithfully took care of the family.
“As a Son, Christ faithfully cared for the people of God’s household.” (Verse 6) Jesus knew who he was. “I am the Son of God” “My body, the Son of God, is the temple” This is Jesus’ self-knowledge.
“Your body, which is a temple, should be a house of prayer,” he thought. So he offered up supplications and supplications with intense weeping and tears, and he was heard because of his piety (Hebrews 5:7). We should note that Jesus referred to his body as a temple. But the Bible says that we who believe are also temples.
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, he will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, and so are you” (1 Corinthians 3:3). 16-17)
The temple of God is the house where the Holy Spirit of God dwells. I cannot make my body, the temple of God, into a den of robbers. The best way for me to take care of my body is to have the Holy Spirit within me. Being a temple is fundamental. If the basics are not met, it will chase you and torment you for the rest of your life.
In order for me to become God's temple, Jesus, whom God sent, must reside in me, and I must go and receive the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent.
As the Son of God, Jesus faithfully took care of the people of God's household. It was considered the work of the Son of God. God's concern is to bring people outside into God's house. Jesus called people to do God's will. He compelled him to take him and fill his father's house.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners” (Matthew 9:13).
“May God smile at you” (Numbers 6:25).
The Lord told us to discern what pleases us (Ephesians 5:10).
Even if you search all over the world, there are people who please God in a time when there was nothing to please God. He is Noah. At that time, he was a righteous man and a perfect man. He walked with God (Genesis 6:9).
He trusted God completely. He accepted God's warning and built an ark for the salvation of his family. He made known that the world was going wrong and established a right relationship with God (Hebrews 11:7). He built the ark according to the word of God (Genesis 6:22).
It took Noah 120 years to build the ark. The many years that were unlikely to rain were focused on building the ark. Without faith, you cannot please God. Like Noah, who built the ark by faith, we must build the house of God.
Think deeply of Jesus! When you think about a problem repeatedly, it is called worry. But if you keep thinking about God's Word, it's meditation. We can also meditate on something we have been worried about. As we deeply love Jesus, we too can be like Jesus.
Jesus did not limit the scope of the family to flesh and blood. All those whom God calls freely are brothers and sisters. Becoming a family in God's house means living a life with God. You will become like Christ. The sick will be healed, and the oppressed will be set free and set free. A healthy family, a healthy family.
“If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship, and the blood of his Son Jesus purifies us” (1 John 1:7).
The world says intimacy takes place in the dark. But the house of God is in fellowship with each other before the light. Instead of hiding it and passing it on, it is revealed and corrected and changed. Christ is the Son of God's house. He built his father's house with a sense of ownership.
I must have the identity of a worker ordained by God. I must be faithful to the one who established me. You can break a plate while working, but you can't break your trust. It will always be someone you can trust. “They said there was no one in the world to trust, and that person was him.” This should not be the case.
Tasteless salt is thrown away. Everyone! When you lose your faith, you become like a useless thing.
“Have you seen a man skilled in his work? Such a man will stand before kings, and not before lowly ones” (Proverbs 22:29).
Moses was faithful as a servant in the house of God, and Jesus was faithful as the son in charge of the house of God.
The servant who received the five talents said, “Look, I have left you!” So the master said, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” I did.
“Because you have been faithful in little things, enter into the joy of your master!”
We are not servants, but sons in charge of the house of God, let us be faithful. Sincerity is a currency that is accepted everywhere. There is a saying that sincerity is in the doghouse. Please make plants with sincerity and sincerity.
