Title: This Is David's Stolen
In Chapter 28, Saul was so frustrated that he looked for a woman who was familiar with him. It was the decisive reason why Saul was abandoned by God. 1 Chronicles 10 For Saul died because he sinned against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and he did not ask the LORD to teach him, so the LORD killed him and gave the kingdom to David the son of Jesse. It is recorded in verses 13-14.
In chapter 29, David flees to the Philistines after Saul's relentless pursuit. This is a sin comparable to that of Saul's visit to a young woman. How can he escape to the enemy's kingdom in order to save his life, even though Saul tenaciously tried to kill the man who would become the king of Israel? The Philistines and Israel are the kingdoms established by God of water and oil and the kingdoms of Satan and the devil. The last one year and four months of David's 15 years of fugitive life were shameful escapes. Even the children of God can make this kind of mistake when they see it as they live in the world. You can temporarily leave your father's arms.
However, even though King Saul knew this sin, he did not seek God and tried to solve it in a human way. David realized his sin, repented, and returned to God the Father like a prodigal son. This is David's greatness. The sin of Judas Iscariot and the sin of Peter are fifty-two hundred steps. Judas Iscariot commits suicide while trying to solve it in a human way due to the pain of remorse. When Peter heard the rooster crow, he mourned and repented and turned to Jesus. So I restored my position as a disciple to tend my sheep.
When raising children, there are children who complain and run away when their mother beats them. However, there are children who rather dig into their chest. No matter what sin you and I have committed, do not run away, but run into the Father's bosom.
David must have had a dream when he returned to Israel with 600 warriors after ending his shameful life in the Philistines, meeting his longing family and returning to his longing homeland. But when I arrived, strange and terrifying things were waiting for me. Meanwhile, the enemy Amalek invaded and burned the city and killed all the livestock and people. In verse 2, it is recorded that not one of the women, large and small, were killed, but they were all taken captive. Even David's two wives were taken away. It is said that David and the warriors who came back raised their voices and wept so that they did not have the strength to weep, no matter how amazing they were.
How did David overcome this absolute crisis?
(1) We trusted in God and gained strength (verse 6)
Who can you turn to in really difficult times? When it is flat, you cannot know the person's faith. When a person is really difficult, you can confirm that person's faith. There are people who seem to have good faith, but when they are having a hard time, there are people who blame God and solve the problem by relying on the world. I hope that you will be those who depend on and hold on to God in difficult times.
(2) David called the priest and offered a sacrifice to God (verse 7)
Before the Israelites went to war, they had to offer sacrifices to God. He is a God who accepts sacrifices offered in spirit and truth and rejects pretense and formal sacrifices. David and all the people offered sacrifices to God with all their heart. When we are busy, we also hope that we will worship in spirit and in truth according to God's heart. Worship is a channel of problem solving and a channel of blessing. Through worship, God speaks and gives power.
(3) David did not do it his own way, but asked what the will of God was (verse 8).
When people are having a hard time, there are cases where they try to do their own thing, and that's why they fail so much. Are you in a difficult situation today? God, what should I do? Ask God. Psalm 50:15 says, Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me. Shall I go crazy chasing this army? David asked God, and God answered. He told me that you must go after him and you will surely go crazy and find the way to Jeongyeong.
How reckless is a war, logically? Absolutely not enough numerically. The soldiers run out of strength after crying, and 200 people on the way are exhausted and are eliminated while chasing a long way. Now, with only 400 weary soldiers, how will you fight and win against the mighty Amalek?
According to verse 17 how fierce this war was, the war continued for two full days from dawn to sunset the next day.
Who would win this war? Are you David? Are you Amalek? Let's read 1 Samuel 30:17-20 together. David was victorious. How did you win the war? Because it was a war with God. Just imagine. It was the humble appearance of David when he fled to the Philistines to escape Saul. The contrast between the proud David returning today after smashing the Amalekites and singing the victorious triumphal hymn is a stark contrast. I pray that you and I will be the image of David who will find everything that was lost and return to his victorious image.
In today's Bible verse, there is a saying that this was David's stolen property. God gave it all to the people of Israel as a blessing. But Saul lost everything to Amalek. David ran to get these stolen things back.
Blessings are not new gifts from God. It is a blessing to bring back what God has already given, but what was taken away by the enemy Satan. David is a type of Jesus. The one who restores the blessings of the lost people of Israel is the king of Israel. Jesus is the King of kings who came to this earth to restore the blessings of the lost people of God.
God created the heavens and the earth and saw that it was very good. Be great and multiply! He gave this world to mankind as a gift. However, because Adam and Eve disobeyed, they were expelled from the Garden of Eden and were cursed and lost their blessing.
Jesus came to this earth to restore it again. Health, family, children, and material things have already been given as blessings, but because I made a mistake and disobeyed, Satan took them all away. I hope to find this again in Jesus. Resurrection is a Hebrew word that means to be alive and lively in the active voice. Revival in English means to make new again. Buheungri is not a new creation, but a new one after removing all sorts of impurities. In Genesis 26:16-17, the enemy Philistines came and filled up the well that Abraham dug. Isaac removed all the impurities and dug the well again. This is revival, blessing, and restoration. God has already given you the blessings of your family. The enemy came and filled it with filth. You need to remove this. Health, material things, and children, happiness should not be found elsewhere, but in the shape of the children in my own home.
What does Satan the Devil fill up with? It is filled with distrust, resentment, hatred, tradition, formality, and hypocrisy. You have to dig it all up. Blessings will be restored only when you dig it out. This is revival. Today the people of Israel cry out, All these things David has stolen! Dear saints in the preface! After restoring the blessings with Jesus, all of these were stolen by Jesus! must be declared. How can I regain the blessings that have been stolen from me? Blessings that have been lost in Jesus, blessings that have been taken away, I pray that you will find them in the name of the Lord.
