Title/ Those on Jehovah's Side
Text/ Exodus 32:25-29
In doing God's work, there are times when you have to make a really difficult decision in front of people, even if you are a villain, because you have to endure it according to God's word. I see you looking for someone who will be on the side of Jehovah and dedicate himself as the agent of judgment.
1, a bitter decision is required. verse 26
“Moses stood at the gate of the camp and said, “Whoever is on the Lord’s side, let him come to me.” So all the Levites gathered together and came to him.”
First, you need to be clear about whether you are on the side of people or God. When you acknowledge God first, trust God first, and take a firm stance, God also works on your side, opens the gates of heaven, and pours out blessings.
(Isaiah 6:8) “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I; send me.”
Just as the tribe of Levi went before Moses to be on God's side, even when it's hard, you must have a clear attitude and come before the Lord with a stern determination.
(Judges 20:18) “The children of Israel arose and went up to Bethel and inquired of the Lord, and said, Who among us will go up first to fight the children of Benjamin? I hope you will.
2, There must be absolute obedience to the Word of God. Verses 27-28
Slaughter your brothers, your friends and your neighbors, says the LORD, for on that day about three thousand were killed.”
Not everything can be solved just because you make a bitter decision. If God's work is tied to recognition or circumstances, it becomes "humanism".
In (Matthew 16:21-23), Jesus teaches his disciples “the death of the cross and the resurrection”.
Peter, who was governed by reason, was rebuked for saying, “Lord, not so.” We must not forget that the kingdom of God is not humanism, but “absolute theocraticism”.
Brothers, friends, and neighbors are precious to the Levites too. However, he absolutely obeys God's word (1 Samuel 15:22). It is taught that “obedience is better than sacrifice”.
3, You will be given a greater chance of blessing when you dedicate yourself first. Verse 29
Only those who are on God's side can make the same devotion as in the text. The number of the Levites killed is as much as 3,000. Whether it was a good job or a difficult job, it was a wonderfully difficult and sad job because it was God's order, but they dedicated themselves to it.
“Today I am dedicated to the Lord, and he (God) will bless me today.”
Before Moses died, he blessed the Levites.
(De 33:8-11) Find, read, and finish.
The Lord is looking for people to work today.
(Luke 10:2) “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
(Yehwa - Cabbage that has become obsolete due to lack of time)
If the harvest is not harvested in time, the wheat will fall to the ground and become rotten.
