Title: Those who are praised
Contents
Bible Text: Matthew 25:14-30
one who is praised
It's not easy to hear that you did well. The Korean baseball team that beat Venezuela to the finals did really well. Director Kim In-sik took on the hard work even though his body was not normal. It was a game where each and every player put their heart into it. As the director said, it was a great challenge. We are proud of our players. I hate to watch the news, but baseball excites us. In golf, Shin Ji-ae tied for second place, and figure skater Kim Yu-na became the best in the world and entertained us. Yuna Kim set a new world record.
Practice-oriented/ He was excellent in practice.
“I waited and waited until I ended up like this,” is the inscription of playwright George Bernard shaw. He lived more fiercely than anyone else, and if he, a world-class writer, wrote an inscription in such words, people like us do not know what to write. People live under the illusion that time makes us grow. But time only wears out everything.
Procrastination ruins your life. Being unclear and vague is not a good thing in life. The present time given to me is an expensive asset that cannot be exchanged for anything. How a person uses the time given to me now determines my future.
There are those who receive the praise, “Well done” and the reward, “Participate in the joy of your master.” Evil and lazy servant! Others were rebuked and punished by saying, “Cast this useless servant out into the darkness outside.”
Hearing that it was well done, he took the five talents his master had given him and said, “Go right away and trade with them…” (verse 16). What did you do well? It went straight to the business.
It is said that there are three times. The future comes hesitantly, the present flies like an arrow, and the past stands still forever. Yet people act as if time is infinite. Time is a given resource for humans. Time was given equally to everyone. Time is money. Invest well and you get a lot.
“He who only looks at the wind will not sow, and he who only looks at the clouds will not reap” (Ecclesiastes 11:4). If you wait until the conditions are right, when will that time come? If you spend time thinking, the bus of opportunity will pass. The junction that separates winners from losers is the ability to start. The loser procrastinates and misses the opportunity. The result is dropout. The winner starts. Losers only think. I'm still thinking.
No matter how much thought and skill you have, it is useless if you don't put it into practice. Winners are ingrained in their behavioral structures. “He went right away and traded with it” and was praised “Well done”.
If you look at successful people, the idea is simple, but they have the courage, guts, self-confidence, and a spirit not afraid of failure. It starts with the willingness to pay the price for failure. Jesus said that the rich young man lacks one thing, but the one thing we lack is practical ability.
In order to be evaluated and praised for doing well, you have to practice. You have to try it out and see what the end result will be. Napoleon said: “My unhappiness today is retaliation for the time I spent wrong someday.” Those who spend their teens wrong will be retaliated in their 20s, and those who waste their 20s will be unhappy in their 30s. A talent is a “talent”. It is a unique ability given to each one. Don't bury your talents, use them. So I hope you will be praised.
Loyalty-centered / He is a loyal person.
“Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, and I will put you in charge of many things, and enter into the joy of your master” (verse 21).
Loyalty is doing everything your body is capable of. Doing everything your body can do means risking your life to do it. “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life…” (Revelation 2:10)
King David was looking at Bethlehem from the stronghold while the Philistine army was encamped in Bethlehem, David's hometown. “David begged and said, ‘Who will make me drink water from the well by the gate of Bethlehem?’ So the three warriors broke through the camp of the Bethlehemites and brought water from a well by the gate of Bethlehem and came to David, but David was not pleased to drink it. Then he poured water on the LORD, and said, "Lord, I will never do this for my sake, is it not the blood of those who risked their lives?" (2 Samuel 23:23). 15-17)
“Three mighty men did these things” What the three mighty men did is loyalty. He risked his life to go and get water. Sirus said, "A negligence committed for the sake of the master is a fine deed." In a way, the actions of the three heroes seem reckless. But the act was an act of loyalty. The king needs faithful servants, and God needs faithful workers. People are disloyal because they feel that the work is not worth risking their lives for. It means that I can't stake my life on "that little thing".
The president of a company with dozens of skyscrapers on the streets of Manhattan, USA, has a word that recalls his youth. "Hey! Don't you think you're too big for the job?" That's what I heard from the head of the job at the first job he left after graduating from college and joining the army. He always keeps those words. It was such a small job that it didn't seem like a lot of work, but as I did my best every day, week after day, I was promoted through a change of workplace and a change of position. As a result of his loyalty to small things, he is now the manager of a company with offices in over 30 countries.
“He who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and he who is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much” (Luke 16:10).
Michelangelo was praised everywhere. But I say: “If I knew how hard I worked and how hard I worked to get to where I am today, I wouldn’t look great at all.” Loyalty is the path to success and is worthy of praise.
Performance-oriented/ He showed results.
The person who received one talent is a failure type, and the person who received two talents and five talents is a success type person. The failure type is a noun person, and the success type is a verb person. Nouns do not move. No head, no body. The verb tense uses the head as well as the body to sweat.
Noun people live their lives wrong with the wrong thoughts. In verse 24, it says, “Because I knew it…” I knew the owner as a hardened person. I also thought that you reap where you have not sown and gather where you have not sown. Even if you know, it's frustrating how you know that. It is absurd to gather grain without sowing and harvesting and scattering.
Noun Human beings are possessed by fear. “I was afraid, and I went out and hid your talent in the ground; behold, you have yours” (verse 25). A person who is immobilized by fear. He only has his mouth alive. I'm just good at talking. Doctor of Excuse, a master of excuses.
Verb people have a track record. I know exactly where the destination of the work I am doing and what I need to do to get there, and I move on. The person makes achievements and shows performance. As Dr. Peter Drucker said in “The Condition of Management”, “Effective managers focus on their contribution to the ultimate goal when they take action. They work towards the achievements to be achieved rather than the work itself. What achievements do I need to achieve? We are starting to take the first step in the survey.”
“The one who had received the two talents also came and said, “Lord, you have given me two talents; behold, I have earned two talents” (verse 22).
“The one who had received five talents also brought five more and said, “Master, you have given me five talents; behold, I have gained five more” (verse 20).
People who get results have a good reputation. The man's nickname is Work Bug, Tank.
Sam Moore Walton, who was voted the richest person by Forbes magazine in the early 1980s, was a Sunday school lay leader who said of himself, “I am a servant and a leader.” He ignored conventional knowledge and emphasized practical knowledge. He started out as a boy working in a small general store when America was hit by an economic crisis, giving birth to Wal-Mart. He is said to have said, “I will never be poor” from a young age. From the age of seven to college, I delivered newspapers. I went to school and made money. He chose not to survive, but to grow or fall. By 1979, Wal-Mart had 230 branches.
A person without performance cannot be praised. What rewards are given to those who do not perform? “Take one talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents, and cast this useless servant out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (verse 30). Servant, I have been faithful over a few things; I will entrust you with many things; enter into the joy of your master” (verse 23).
Saints! It is not right to not face the reality fiercely with only belief in the afterlife. Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, not as to men, but as to God.
The one who received the one talent was rebuked for being wicked and lazy. He said, "I lack intelligence, I have no creativity, I have no communication skills, I have no money-making skills." In this way, self-deprecating and limiting.
Someone said this. “You come into being as you think you are, not as you are.”
well done! Please do your best to become a listener to these words. I want you to become a person with excellent practical skills, a person who is loyal to small things, and a person who shows achievements. Let us all be praised by God.
Please participate in the joy of the owner and enjoy it.
