Title: Those Who Receive God's Blessing

those who receive God's blessing
Matthew 21:28-32
Today's text is a precious challenge for us.
A farmer had two sons.
One day he commanded his eldest son to go to work in a vineyard.
The eldest son replied that he would go and work.
But in reality, I played and enjoyed it elsewhere.
I said the same thing to my younger son.
But the son refused to go.
However, he later realizes that his actions were wrong.
And he went to the vineyard by himself and worked hard.
Jesus asks who has accomplished the Father's will through this parable.
He says that he refused the first command, but he was the younger son who repented and was converted.
The Lord said that the religious leaders who put their words first and refused to put them into practice were like the eldest son.
But publicans and prostitutes who were despised and despised were said to be like the second son. They were people who clearly sinned.
They were despised and despised by the people around them.
However, they realized their sin.
He repented before the Lord and returned.
In the end, it was the glory of becoming a citizen of the kingdom of God.
“In the same way, the last shall be first, and the first shall be last” (Matthew 20:16).
Dear all!
The gospel of Christianity is to testify that the opportunity is open to the end.
Those who seize that opportunity with faith and choose it can receive God's blessing.
Through today's text, we want to examine who can receive God's blessings.
The first is to do the will of the Father.
The eldest son replied, "Yes, I will go," to his father's will, but in the end he did not go.
On the other hand, the younger son replied, "No," but after that he repented and went to the vineyard to do as his father would.
Ultimately, it means that those who obey the Father's will will be recognized as 'right'.
When we have practice in our lives, we become disciples who fulfill the will of the Lord.
Think of the Lord's public ministry.
The Lord spread the love of God by word of mouth.
The Lord did what He said.
He fed the poor.
He healed the sick.
He bound up the sick.
He came to those who were suffering.
In the end, his love was fulfilled on the cross.
"It is finished" (John 19:30)
By giving his body and blood he was able to speak.
He testified that the kingdom of God is not in words but in deeds.
“Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
We have to live a life that not only listens to God's word, but responds to it in action.
Every scene in the movie “Ben-Hur” is impressive.
A scene that particularly stands out in my memory is the scene where the soldiers are armed to fight the enemy on the boat, and the slaves are rowing the boat under the boat, and the boat runs swiftly.
There is a drummer under the boat where the slaves are rowing, and everyone rows to the sound of the drum.
If you do not match the beat and paddle at your own pace, you will be strong and it will not help the boat to move forward.
We, too, can move forward and make progress only when we work hard to the sound of the drum beat by the leader.
I hope that you will become believers who obey God's guidance and obey God's beat.
I hope that you will become happy saints by believing and obeying the Word.
By obedience, I hope that you will find it easy to be yourself and be used by God.
Second, there must be repentance, that is, repentance.
The younger son said no at first, but later repented and went to the vineyard.
Both the eldest and the younger son were imperfect, but the older son did not repent, while the younger son did.
Here, 'repentance' means not only realizing one's mistake, but also repenting.
Jesus pointed out to the Jewish religious leaders, "John came to you in the way of righteousness, but you did not believe him."
The way of righteousness that the Lord spoke of, that is, the right way shown by John the Baptist, means the way of repentance.
Repentance is the first step in believing God's Word.
You cannot return to God without repentance.
This is illustrated in the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15.
Repentance is repentance and the first step to faith.
This is the motivation for self-recovery, as seen in the parable of the prodigal son.
Even when you are ashamed and embarrassed, when you repent and turn around, you will have life and happiness.
Abraham is a much better believer than us, but he is not perfect in the sight of God.
There is no doubt that Abraham was a man of great faith, a man of faith, and a man who depended on God compared to other people.
But in the sight of God, you are a sinner. He is a man of great faults. He is a sinner who cannot stand proudly before God.
Large rocks are thrown into the water and sink, but small grains of sand also sink in the water.
Big sinners are sinners, and small sinners are sinners.
I have committed a small sin, but I am cleaner than that person, so I cannot say that I am righteous and I am not ashamed before God.
Calvin said that repentance begins with right knowledge.
That knowledge is twofold: the knowledge of God and the knowledge of man himself.
The right knowledge of one's own sinfulness and the holiness of God is the power to return to God.
And you have to make a decision.
A high moral life begins with this kind of repentance.
It is said that the national power of a country is directly proportional to the moral level of the people of that country.
It means that the moral level of our people is the happiness index of this country.
At the same time, it would mean that the index of developed countries in this country is directly proportional to the level of morality.
When politicians, businessmen, and even educators and religious people are corrupt and full of lies and injustice, Christians should feel responsible.
Third, we must realize the rebuke of hypocrisy.
The eldest son said he would go, but he didn't actually go.
He was a good and obedient son before his father, but in reality he was an evil and disobedient son.
Hypocrisy is trying to look like it is otherwise.
The religious leaders of the time did not actually obey God's Word, but tried to appear to be obedient to God and doing God's will.
I was a sinner but pretended to be righteous, I was unrighteous and I pretended to be righteous
Almost the same answer. “I am clean. The truth will come out in the prosecution.”
When I go to the second prosecutor's office, things are a little different. “
It’s a twisted thing for something like that to happen.”
If called multiple times, “I’m sorry.” or say nothing at all.
As things that were hidden and hidden were revealed, it was no longer possible to give reasons or excuses.
‘My lord, do as you will. Live or die, as you will.’
I sing well, but after I sing it, I try to do <my will> instead of <my lord's will>.
It's not <live or die>, but whatever you do, don't you <no> to live, not to die, and not to lose?
When many people were studying? When they were baptized, they vowed to learn and keep the Word of God, and to work hard for the holy kingdom of God.
When many permanent positions were installed, they pledged to be faithful to death and to serve as an example to the saints, but with their lips they said “yes!”, but their lives were filled with “no.” This is what the eldest son looks like.
This was the life of the eldest son, who confessed only with his mouth and did not obey with his life.
He was abandoned.
All who stand before the judgment seat of God will be like this.
God knows everything.
He is the one who examines our hearts and even our thoughts.
All the faults, mistakes, and sins that were hidden, hidden, and forgotten before God's sparkly eyes will be revealed.
No one can give reasons or excuses before God.
Righteous and upright before God. There is no body that can be said to be true.
There is no righteous. None.
Anyone who claims to be righteous is a liar.
A person who eats out.
It's a hypocrite.
So the priests, elders, and Pharisees who pretended to be godly heard the words of rebuke from Jesus that they were hypocrites and whitewashed tombs.
Today's religious life is no exception.
Religious hypocrisy makes people tired and distressed.
It is because of their vain desire to be treated like a holy person, as if they were a philanthropist while taking care of their personal interests and self-interest.
If I said yes, I feel sorry for the saints who practice and act without fail.
Most people say yes and yes with their mouths, but in reality they say no and no.
How many people are savvy, opportunistic thinking and acting, eating out, and living a formal religious life?
With only the name of believing, no action, no spiritual experience or joy, we receive comfort by participating in religious ceremonies moment by moment, and when others sing, we sing ourselves, and we close our eyes when we pray.
He goes to church when he has spare time, and if he thinks he is not in a good position, he lives on his own terms.
I believe that the happiness and peace promised by Christ will reside in our society when politeness and practical obedience are together.
The fourth is those who enter the kingdom of God.
