2. Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from ancient times and from eternity.
3. Therefore, he will keep them until the woman gives birth, and after that the remnant of his brethren shall return to the children of Israel.
4. He stands in the power of the LORD and in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God;
new testament
9. As the wise men heard the king's words, they went, and the star they had seen in the east suddenly led them ahead and stood still over the place where the child was.
10. And when they saw the stars, they rejoiced very greatly and rejoiced.
11. And when he entered the house, he saw the child and his mother Mary with him, and fell down and worshiped the child, and opened the jewelery and offered gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
sermon
God gave a son for everyone. But only those who receive him will enjoy this blessing. Everyone in the world has been invited to heaven, but only those who respond to that invitation enter the kingdom of heaven. The cross of Jesus forgave the sins of all people, but only those who accept that forgiveness can enjoy freedom from their sins. The Son of God came into the world, but he did not receive the Lord except a few.
All.
1. Jesus did not come in secret. God did not hide the birth of Jesus Christ. Only because he came from such a low place, no one paid any attention. God gave His Son for all people, but it is invisible to those who are blind to their own desires.
2. Those who received him rejoiced. The shepherds who were tending their sheep in the field ran to Bethlehem and rejoiced when they saw the baby Jesus, and the wise men from the East also saw the stars and came to worship the baby Jesus. They all eagerly sought the baby Jesus, and were delighted to see them.
3. Those who received it worshiped. God loved us so much that he gave us his only son. The Savior came to save us. The Lord has done great works of salvation for us, and we deserve to rejoice and celebrate. He deserves to be worshiped and glorified. he is our king
We are God's beloved people. God has given us the promise of salvation. He has given us faith so we can wait. He opened his heart to welcome the Lord and gave him joy when he received it. He gave us the heart to come to the Lord and worship Him, and He restored us with hope.
