1. The LORD appeared to Abraham in the place of the oaks of Mamre, and he was sitting at the door of the tent while it was hot.
2. He lifted up his eyes, and behold, three men were standing opposite him. As soon as he saw them, he ran to meet them at the tent door, and bowed himself to the ground.
3. He said, "My lord, if I have found favor in you, please do not pass by from your servant.
4. Bring a little water to wash your feet and rest under the tree.
5. I will bring you some bread, refresh your hearts and then pass by, for you have come to your servant. They said, Do as you say.
6. Abraham hurried to the tent and said to Sarah, “Take three sets of fine flour and knead it to make bread.”
7. And Abraham ran to the herd, and slaughtered a good and fat calf, and gave it to the servant, who hurriedly cooked it.
8. And Abraham took the curd and the milk, and the calf that the servant had cooked, and set it before them, and set it under the tree, and they ate.
9. They said to Abraham, "Where is Sarah your wife?" They answered, "She is in a tent."
10. He said to him, "I will surely return to you at this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Then Sarah heard it at the tent door.

6. Those who are being taught share all good things with those who teach the Word.
7. Do not deceive yourself, for God is not despised; whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8. He who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
9. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
10. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to the household of faith.
