Title: Three enemies of life

Bible Text: Philippians 4:6-7
Three enemies of life
When we asked middle and high school students which country poses the most threat to our national security, they answered that the first was the United States (28.4%), the second was Japan (27.7%), and the third was North Korea (22.3%). When asked what year the 6.25 Incident occurred, 4 out of 10 students immediately answered 1950. If they go to the military, their main enemy will be the United States, followed by Japan and North Korea. For a nation to survive, it must know immediately who is the enemy and who is the friend. If you know the enemy as an ally, you will be in big trouble.
Who is our enemy? Who is for me and who harms me? Jesus said to his beloved disciple Peter, “Get away, Satan, you are the one who makes me fall.” The enemy that makes me fall is by my side and within me. “The three enemies of life” What are my enemies?
Disappointment (落望)
Disappointment. Facing difficulties, we lose courage and give up hope. It is my enemy who destroys my hope. Despair destroys hope as the wind blows and the fruit falls.
When a person loses a dream, there is no vigor, and when hope disappears, boredom arises. The meaning of existence is living with dreams. When you set high ideals and work diligently to realize them, you discover the worth and meaning of life. The tragedy of tragedies is the loss of dreams. It is a loss of hope and despair.
Don't let it go when you're discouraged. It's like sitting still on a sinking ship. I must rebuke me. “My soul, why am I discouraged, and why am I troubled within me?” (Psalm 42:5) Why are you weary? Why do you fall? The soul must illuminate and energize my spirit. The soul is the spark and beam of God. Like the sun that sends light to the earth, why is the soul that should send light to my mind and body go out? When the lamp goes out, oil must be poured. If you leave it alone, it will turn off.
The opposite of ‘success’ is ‘give up’, not ‘failure’. Success is the result of repeated failures.
Look at the 10-month-old baby. Get up and fall, get up and fall. If you are afraid of falling, you will give up on getting up. But the baby keeps waking up. Even if the righteous fall seven times, he will rise again. In the end it doesn't fall over. A person who imagines failure cannot make any plans.
Toynbee said that human history has developed through challenges and responses. The reason that the once splendid Inca and Maya civilizations destroyed themselves and disappeared into history was because they did not accept the challenge. Both companies and individuals alike. Without challenge and response, we fall into sloth and lethargy. Life is a challenge. It is moving towards a dream and trying towards a goal. There is no sea without wind. There is no sailing without winds. Susan Jasper said, “Try it. As if it never failed.”
Jesus told us in parables that we should always pray and not lose heart. A widow suffered an injustice, and she went to the judge and said, “Settle my grudge! and begged. I went to sleep every day. When the judge did not listen to the widow, he thought to himself, “I fear God and ignore men, but this widow has troubled me, and I will avenge her” (Luke 18:1-5).
Even when we pray, we get discouraged. It's no use praying, I think. But don't be discouraged and pray. He said, “I tell you, he will avenge him quickly. But will he find faith on earth when the Son of Man comes?” (verse 8). “Do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you are not weary” (Galatians 6:9). The devil discourages and discourages. If you are discouraged, you will be disappointed; if you are discouraged, you will perish. Don't be discouraged and don't be disappointed! Believe in the God of hope and live in hope.
Worry (念慮)
I am concerned. Shakespeare said, “Anxiety is the enemy.” It is unfortunate to live in a condescending way. Anxiety refers to worrying and not having peace of mind. It refers to a state of chaos. It is the separation of thoughts and feelings. Why do concerns arise? In a word, it is a matter of food, clothing and shelter. for food and clothing. Worry is thinking complicated about life. Anxiety seems to arise from external conditions, but it is not necessarily the case.
German mystic Tauler met a beggar on the street. "Hello?" He greeted me and said, "I haven't had a day without good-bye." “Then be happy.” “I have never been unhappy.” Towler was surprised and said, "What does that mean? Every day is happy...” The beggar replied, “I am a king” “Then where is your country?” “My heart is my country,” he said. A beggar is a mind dominated by anxiety.
Jesus told us not to worry about what we will eat or what we will wear.
Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, but the heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than these? Therefore, do not be anxious and say, "What shall I eat, or what shall I drink, or what shall I wear?" (Matthew 6:25-32). Worry is what unbelievers do. Worry is unbelief.
Anxiety is my enemy that eats up life. For some people, worry is an enemy. It is an old enemy. It also prevents me from sleeping properly. There is a disease called health anxiety. It is not a disease, but they are concerned about their health and cause them to become ill as they worry. The Bible says 'do' and 'don't'. It is a sin not to do what you are told to do, and a sin to do what you are not supposed to do. Don't worry! Worrying is a sin.
“I get on the salvation train and go to heaven/ I run out of the station of sin and never get off again.
I don't need a ticket. Lord, I'm the conductor, so I don't have to worry/ I'll get on the salvation train and go to heaven."
Anxiety is the enemy of life. Just as a cold is the cause of all diseases, anxiety is a disease of faith growth. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known, and the God of peace will guard your hearts and minds” (Philippians 6-7) Why are you worried when you can pray? You can pray, but why are you worried?
Don't neglect prayer. caught up in worry. Neglecting the Sunday will make you anxious. I mean, there's really something to worry about. When you fall into unbelief, all kinds of worries and worries cling to you.
stubbornness
stubbornness. Perseverance refers to the disposition of not bending at all, stating only one's opinions or thoughts. Man's misfortune lies in his own stubbornness. Obstinacy is the blindness of the mind and leads to harsh punishment. The stubborn is the deaf of the deaf. I don't even want to listen to other people's opinions.
Reniel, of Versailles, France, was the wife of a court counsel. The husband and wife were arguing over housework, and the husband said this. “Shut up, stop talking nonsense!” Reniel has not spoken since that day. He didn't say a word for 30 years until he died. My husband tried to make him talk, but in vain. Begging and begging and begging, but in vain. The daughter brought the man she was going to marry, but she did not open her mouth. Even when he agreed, he did not open his mouth and only nodded his head a little. The wife's lips did not open even if she begged her husband to make a mistake. When he died, he opened his mouth. If I had known that I had to die to open my mouth, I would have let you die sooner!...
No human being is without stubbornness. There is beef and there is chicken. Giving up your opinion is never easy. But it is never a loss to bend one's opinion. Because if you insist on wrong judgment, you are digging a trap on your own.
Deacon Stephen said to the Jews who were judging him, “He is stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, always saying against the Holy Spirit, as your fathers did” (Acts 7:51). A stubborn person is hard-hearted and has clogged ears. He even killed those who prophesied that Jesus would come. A stubborn person rejects even the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The cooling tower of North Korea's nuclear reactor, a symbol of nuclear terror for 22 years, collapsed in 1-2 seconds. It is a declaration of giving up nuclear weapons. This will remove them from the list of countries supporting terrorism and open up international trade. That stubbornness made North Korea poor and he lived like an orphan in history. Destroyed a cooling tower that cools the heat. Perseverance is not negotiable. Demolition is the only solution. Please blow up your stubbornness.
“...according to your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for thee in the day of wrath, when the favorable judgment of God is revealed” (Romans 2:5). is to build a castle from which to fall.
Jonah was a man who faced great difficulties while doing his own thing. I disobeyed the command to go to Nineveh and went my own way, and met a storm, and as a result, everyone died, and I turned back, saying that I knew that it was because of me that you met the storm. Don't harden your mind. If your neck is stiff, it will break. It sprouts and grows crops in soft ground.
A house was robbed. The robber pointed a knife at him and said, “Prepare to die.” He said, “There is only rice in our house.” The robber was shocked and laughed. And I went back to eating only the rice that was served. No matter what anyone says, you should not prepare to die, but eat and live. Man does not live by bread alone, but by the word of God. God sent Elijah bread and water. And he told me to get up and eat.
life's three
Disappointment. Despair is a disease that leads to death. The biggest bankruptcy is to lose hope. Even if you lose everything, you must not lose hope. Hope it will happen again. Please get up again.
I am concerned. Don't worry about anything and pray. “Is any of you afflicted, let him pray, and is there anyone who rejoices, let him sing praise” (James 5:13).
stubbornness. Perseverance destroys itself. “Why have these people of Jerusalem always departed from me? They persisted in lies and refused to return” (Jeremiah 8:5) Let us all return to God and enjoy forgiveness and peace.
