Title: Three faces

Contents

2 Kings 5:20-27 Three faces

How much money does it usually cost for women to have plastic surgery to become as beautiful as a celebrity? I just pulled it out yesterday. Of course, this is an estimate from a local plastic surgeon, not a reputable hospital in Gangnam, Seoul. The cost of surgery for each area was as follows. Eyes 2.3 million won, nose 3.5 million won, convex forehead 2.5 million won, square jaw 4.5 million won, cheekbone reduction 5 million won, earlobe surgery 2 million won, earlobe fat graft 1 million won, this is just the face.

You have to have a pretty body too, so go down and get chest enlargement 7 million won, hip hip up 6 million won, calves and ankles 3 million won, thighs 4.5 million won, sides 2.3 million won, forearms 3 million won, abdomen 4.5 million won, there are dozens of other things besides this. It costs about 80,000 to 100 million won. But now, this is a common talk, and this is the price when we call it 'Yamae'.

Hospitals that offer this price are written in small letters below. "However, we are not responsible for side effects after surgery." However, if you want to be guaranteed the side effects after surgery, you have to go to a good plastic surgeon in Seoul, and then the price will go up by at least 10 times. So, it is said that plastic surgery that makes you look beautiful can be done with confidence by spending at least 800 million to 1 billion won.

At some point, it seems that Korea has become a look-oriented. If you're pretty, everything is forgiven, and if you're pretty, I think a way will be opened. So, everyone is trying to change their appearance somehow. Of course, your body and face are God-given, so you must take good care of them. It should not be nurtured with expensive cosmetics and jewelry, but should be nurtured with a beautiful personality.

This is 1 Timothy 2:9-10. "And in the same way, let women dress in modest clothing, adorning themselves with modesty and modesty, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing, but with good deeds. This is appropriate for those who profess to honor God." ."

Today, we are going to share the grace of the face we need to take care of. First of all, we don't need to have pride or inferiority about ourselves when we look in the mirror. Because it is only God's business and His domain. If a person has a feeling of inferiority because of his or her face, it is against the providence of God and is like criticizing God's works. God is never pleased.

Also, it's not something to brag about or be proud of because you have a pretty face. Because he has done nothing to get there. You should just be grateful and try to make your inner face, that is, your personality, beautiful. In fact, a person with a truly beautiful face must have a beautiful personality, the inner face.

Look at the text today. Naaman was the commander of the army of the great power of Syria at the time. But, unfortunately, he is leper. But he was such a great person, so I tried to treat him somehow without being quarantined. But the white pill was invalid. But he hears a story from a servant girl from Israel who is with him.

There is a prophet named Elisha in his hometown, who can cure any incurable disease. General Naaman came to Elisha with the spirit of grabbing straw. As Elisha the prophet told me, I immersed myself in the Jordan River seven times, and my illness was completely healed. It was so perfectly healed that the decaying flesh became as clean as a child's skin.

Thank you so much, I'm going to give you the present I brought. The gift was specially provided by the king of Syria, and it was a great gift both in value and shape, including ten talents of silver, six thousand pieces of gold, and ten fine garments. But Elisha refused the gift. Naaman here also urged him to accept it without losing, but we argued with each other that we could not accept it, but in the end, Naaman could not give the gift and had to go.

But Gehazi, Elisha's servant, watched all these scenes, and it was very disappointing. So, after Naaman left, I decided that I had to accept the gift. So, we diligently follow in the footsteps of General Naaman, who left earlier. Then he summoned General Naaman, said that it was the work of the prophet Elisha, and gave him two talents of silver and two sets of clothes.

But he could not deceive the prophet Elisha, a man of God. Looking at today's events, you can see three faces at the same time. These three faces are the faces that we all possess, only to some degree.

1. This is the front face.

In other words, it is the face we see on the outside, the face we see in the mirror when we wake up every morning, the face we wash and decorate. It is the face that many people see and guess what the person will be like. People around the world take this face as the standard of beauty. However, the characteristic of this face is that it can be changed at will.

Gehazi in today's text shows us this face. Naaman sees Gehazi chasing after him. I ask him. "Is it peaceful?" Gehazi answers. "Peace." At this point, Gehazi's face is not his real face.

Similar things happen in the New Testament. When Judas Iscariot brought his servants to sell Jesus, he said, "Rabbi, how are you?" He said that he kissed Jesus. The faces of Gehazi and Judas Iscariot were peace and well-being. But behind Gehazi's face was greed, and behind Judah's face was a conspiracy.

In fact, our religious life is not a relationship with the outer person, but a relationship with the inner person. The spiritual life is a matter of the inner man. This is because people look at the outward appearance, but our God looks at the heart. If Jesus looked at the outward man, the front face, would he have made disciples of sun-tanned fishermen?

Perhaps he made a disciple of a handsome man such as King Saul or Absalom. That is why the Apostle Paul said the same thing in Romans 2. ?or he is not a Jew who is outwardly, and he is not circumcised in the flesh, but inwardly he is a Jew, and circumcision is in the heart, in the spirit and not in the law??(Romans 2:28-29).

Everyone! Be careful not to be the face of hypocrisy in which your outward face and your inner heart are different. Because when your outer face and inner heart are different, your ego becomes a multi-personality, and when it becomes a habit, there comes a time when you don't know what you are doing. In other words, the conscience and the face could be completely separated.

In fact, it happened in a rural town in India. The infamous robber turned out to be the mayor of the city. The mayor of the city of Kola, Mr. Maharaja, was a respected mayor. But at night, he turned into a robber and even robbed his office. But during the day, he said he had to catch this robber and even put a bounty on it. The problem is that this person doesn't realize that at night, when he becomes a robber, he becomes a completely different person.

2. This is the inner, inner face.

This is a face we cannot see with the naked eye. This face cannot be touched or seen, but it can be felt and realized. This inner face is that person. Only by looking at this face can people determine whether a person is a good person or a bad person. The characteristic of this face is that it can be easily repaired no matter how many billions of gold it costs.

There is a story Gehazi said when he met Naaman. ? beg you, give them a talent of silver and two sets of clothes.??This statement is not true, it is false. But this face was Gehazi's real face. Gehazi's front face was peace, but his inner face was greed.

Even Jesus once urged Judas Iscariot to show his true face. "Friend! Do what you have come to do!" Jesus already knew that Judas Iscariot would betray him, so he had said so. His outward face was goodbye, but his inner face was betrayal. So there is a proverb that people know ten roads in the water, but do not know people in one road.

Everyone, you should focus on cultivating your inner face. When this becomes beautiful, you can transform into a true beauty, handsome man. In fact, it is not the outward face that makes a person miserable, but the inner face. If our inner personality is not right, our hearts will be empty, no matter how famous we are and how much we hear enthusiastic praise.

Everyone, I want to ask you. How is your inner face now? Are you like the Pharisees, who seem plausible on the outside but are full of hypocrisy, greed and lies on the inside? Or are you a person who looks ugly on the outside but is pure, clean and honest on the inside? I pray that you will develop a beautiful face that conforms to the heart of God who sees your inner face.

3. The final face of the back.

This face is the final and final face that results from the previous two faces. What was Gehazi's back face? Verse 27. ?herefore, Naaman? leprosy will come upon you, and will spread upon your descendants forever.??Gehazi went out from his presence, and the leprosy broke out and became like snow.??This was the final face that appeared as a result of hiding and deceiving the front and inner faces.

The face on the back of Judas Iscariot was a face that had been hanged and his intestines ruptured. The two faces of intrigue and betrayal appeared in the last terrible face. Dear saints, A person must have an honest face on the front, a beautiful inner face, but a more beautiful face on the back. Because that face is remembered by people for a long time, and above all, because it is the turning point between eternal life and destruction.

Just think of the faces in the back that you remember. Mother Teresa had an old, wrinkled front face. But what was her last face? He was the most noble and beautiful face in the world. Now we come to the conclusion of the sermon. May all of us have a beautiful face. I hope the front, inner and back faces all become one with a beautiful appearance. Furthermore, I pray that our faces will be proud on the day we leave this land. I pray that you will become a beautiful face in the sight of God.
