Title: Three postures necessary for a spiritual leader
<2 Corinthians (22) Three essential attitudes for spiritual leaders (2 Corinthians 6:3-10)
1. Don't be shy
The Apostle Paul did his best to keep his office as apostle and evangelist free from any hesitation (v. 3). Sometimes when I see some testimonies on Christian TV, I wonder if those stories will inspire non-believers to believe. Some of them dazzle people with low-quality comedy. Among them, there are very few stories that come after a long maturation in the depths of the soul. It also doesn't seem normal to react enthusiastically to ups and downs.
There are now over 10 million Christians, but how many of them are devoted to living according to the will of Jesus? People are caught up in the false consciousness that they will be saved if they only confess with their lips that they believe in Jesus. However, the confession of the lips of the early church and the confession of the lips today may differ in their sincerity due to the difference between heaven and earth. At the time of the early church, the confession of the lips was already determined to believe at the risk of life, and many of the confessions of the lips now say that they will only believe outwardly because they want to receive salvation. But false beliefs do not save us.
To believe in Jesus is to enter the narrow gate and walk the narrow path. But people are trying to occupy the broad way through Jesus. Whatever it is, we try to be blessed as easily as if we were swimming on the ground. However, if you swim on the ground, you will not know the true taste of swimming. The true taste of swimming can only be experienced by swimming in the deep sea, where there is a risk of drowning if dropped. So dive into the depths of the sea of truth and risk your life to believe. Then you will realize the true meaning of the gospel.
2. You must give yourself
Evangelists must give their lives for the mission (vv. 4-5). History appears when you risk your life for an important life task. Everyone struggles to survive. However, the issue of life and death is not a Christian theme. Beyond life and death, the theme should be where to dedicate one's life. People are interested in living and dying, but what really matters is not the question of life and death, but rather, “What will you risk your life for while you are alive?” do is the problem.
Happy are those who can pour their life into something. If you give your life to the Lord, the things that are happening in the world do not feel so great. If you live as a missionary, you do not know what will happen to you. There are many times when bondage and tribulation await. But that doesn't seem like a big deal. Because you have already given your life for the Lord. What problems are you facing right now? If so, find a new mission the Lord has given you and give your life for it.
By the time I graduated from college in 1984, I experienced deep setbacks. I regretted not being able to prepare for my career. Then, after meeting the Lord, I decided not to live for myself, but to live for the Lord. Since then, the path to life has been mysteriously opened. If you live for yourself, everything is difficult. It's hard to make a living, it's hard to compete, it's hard to stay healthy, and it's hard to meet people. However, if you decide to spend your life for the Lord, everything becomes easy and you can overcome any problem.
3. You must experience the ability
Fortress people are bound by money, face, success, hatred, and worries, and there is no day of peace. To do this takes that and to do that takes this However, if you experience the power of the gospel, your life will be different (verses 8-10). Freedom not tied to anything! The courage and strength to choose love in any case! There is nothing more precious than this. Those who truly accept the gospel receive such power as a gift.
As the apostle Paul confessed, the saints seem unknown, but they are famous. So, on the outside he looks low and has no name, but he has a great name because he worships God. Be a life that sings of happiness in the Lord even when you have so little to offer. Such a life will be like a spokesperson for God.
There are times in life when you have to go through painful moments. Make that time a creative time. Life is not that long, you know. So make both the good times and the hard times a creative time. In the same way, believe in the final victory in your faith in God, and increase your faith's ability to find happiness in any position and in any situation. So, do your best to stand on the same footing as God's spokesperson.
