Title: Three Secrets to God's Blessing (Psalm 112)
Contents
Today is the last day of June.
Half of the year 2011 has already passed.
It is a morning to rethink how to spend the remaining six months.
"Blessing" is a common concern of all people in this world and what everyone is earnestly seeking. How can I enjoy the blessing of wealth, the blessing of health, and the blessing of my children?
There is probably no one who is indifferent to this in all ages, east and west.
Psalm 112, which we will share with you today, is the secret to enjoying all these blessings.
First, those who fear God and long for the Word of God can enjoy this kind of blessing. (Verse 1) To fear God means to acknowledge God as God, to truly honor and fear God, and to obey God's will in life. It seems easy and anyone can do it, but it is by no means easy to acknowledge and live God without shame, from places where no one sees to even the smallest details at the bottom of your conscience. How much do you long for God's Word? Without longing for the word of God above all else, we cannot enjoy the blessings that God has given us.
Second, honest people can enjoy this blessing. (Verses 2 b~4)
Especially in verse 4, there is a saying that "to the upright, light arises out of darkness." Living honestly in today's world can lead to you falling behind in promotions and unsuccessful in business. It is true that we experience a lot of loss if we compromise in moderation and use trickery in moderation. However, Christians should never fall for this satanic strategy. “Honesty” is an important criterion by which God judges His children. Even if it seems that you are losing money or failing right now, you must never give up your honesty by holding on to God's word that someday, "Light will arise in darkness."
Third, those who give grace to the poor and needy can enjoy this blessing (verses 5 and 9). Here, 'loan' is different from today's concept. Today, when people lend money to someone, they lend money for the principal as well as interest.
However, Exodus 22:25 or Leviticus 25:37 tells us not to lend money to the poor and take no interest.
Deuteronomy 23:19 says, "When you lend to your brother, you shall not charge interest, that is, interest on money, interest on food, interest on anything that owes interest."
Therefore, today's message is to give things to the poor and needy without conditions, and to bless those who give.
Today, we looked at what kind of people God blesses.
Not all three are easy to keep and follow.
God's blessings are not easy to receive.
However, we should be the ones who always yearn for these things and strive to enjoy these blessings, considering God's will to bless us to the fullest and lead our lives to prosperity.
