Title: Throne of Grace
Content Throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:14-16)
The throne of grace is the place where God is present. The seat of God and Jesus Christ is the throne of grace.
?? hold fast to your beliefs
It is the duty of believers to believe in Jesus, who was crucified and rose again and ascended into heaven in order to save mankind from perishing through sin. “Walk worthy of the calling to which you were called” (Ephesians 4:1) means to have manners worthy of your calling. We must have manners when we go to the throne of grace. Worship is gathering before the throne of grace and sitting before God. If you look at Acts 10, you can see the worshipers with perfect manners of godly believers. Centurion Cornelius is a man whose whole family serves God, gives alms and prays all the time. While praying, he saw a vision and sent a servant to bring Peter. When Peter enters, he falls down and bows. “I sent someone, and he came, and he did well. Now we are all before God to hear all that the Lord has commanded you” (Acts 10:1-33) Cornelius was a man. He has a good character and has a dignity that comes from faith and godliness. As a worshiper, please have good manners.
?? Receive the grace of mercy
Compassion means empathizing with the same position, and “mercy” means reaching out God's hand to help those in need. “Therefore we may have mercy” (verse 16). We must come before God and receive mercy. Because we are all weak and sinners. When Jesus saw those who could not see, he had compassion on them (Matthew 20:34), and when he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them (Matthew 9:36). Compassion is compassion. Jesus had compassion on those who suffered from disease (Matthew 14:14) and those with demons (Mark 9:22). He had compassion on the grieving, the hungry, the lonely, and the wandering. He sympathized with their pain as his own. We have been loved by God. sins have been forgiven. A life of being loved and loved, forgiven and forgiving, that is the life of a worshiper who has received the grace of mercy.
?? get timely favor
“…let us come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may find grace to help in time of need” (verse 16). “Grace to help in time of need” refers to “help at the right time.” It refers to help that is timely and that the help itself is just right for the situation. For those who are thirsty, a glass of cold water is a timely help.
“The Lord will give your land the early and the latter rain at the proper time, so that you may obtain grain, wine, and oil” (Deuteronomy 11:14). It refers to the ratio suitable for maturation.
In baseball, there's a thing called just hitting. When a runner is at second and third base, he scores two points for one hit. Sometimes he hits a home run to score a point, and sometimes hits a single home run when all runners are out to score 4 points. It's a big income for one point at the right time. If you receive grace, your soul will prosper and all things will prosper.
The believer's duty is to believe in God as God and in Jesus as Savior. When we confess, “I am weak” and “I am a sinner,” the Lord stretches out a hand of compassion from the throne of grace and wants to give us the grace to help in times of need. Let's go to the throne of grace.
