2 Corinthians 7:10-11 ‘10. Godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation without regret; worldly sorrow produces death.

First of all, this book rebukes the church in Corinth for various sins at once - the faction dispute that was divided into the four sects of Paul, Apollos, Ceba, and Christ because of lack of true love. Paul's heart was in a lot of pain as the church sent letters rebuking things that were secularized, such as the problem of fornication.
During his third missionary tour, he met Titus, who had previously been sent from Philippi to Corinth in Macedonia, and heard about the church in Corinth. Hearing the good news that they had repented and was renewed, he wrote this letter again and sent Titus and his companions away.
There will be many regrets as we pass the year, but above all, we hope that it will be a year in which our faith improves. so,
I would like to share this message with the title of <To become a good believer>.
1. You have to get sick of advice
When God gives a commandment, out of 10, he commands not to do it eight times, and he commands it to keep it two times. The spiritual meaning shown in this 8:2 ratio is that ordinary people live their lives wrong.
You can also see that there is a chance that you are good 2 times and wrong 8 times. That means that people who live wrongly need more advice.
God told them to rebuke them because they are true children, and John the Baptist, his disciples, and the first words of the Lord were “Repent!” (Matthew 3:2, Matthew 4:17, Mark 6:12).
A new year will not come if you spend 365 days in another year without thinking. There is no guarantee that the future will turn out well if you see the sun in the morning on the first day of the new year, chant certain spells, and have positive thoughts in your heart. Rather, like the Corinthians, who knew how to agonize over Paul's advice, exhortation, and rebuke, we should be able to grieve over God's will.
Psalm 119:24 “Your testimonies are my delight and my counselor.”
(Easy Bible) Proverbs 13:10 “Pride breeds strife, but there is wisdom in the one who listens to advice.”
2 Corinthians 7:10 “Godly sorrow produces repentance that leads to salvation without regret...”
The word luvph means to sigh, weep bitterly, lament painfully. Worldly worries are something that people naturally follow in their lives, but usually they are drawn by their own greed and cannot empty their mind. However, he said that looking back on life and coming out according to God's will results in peace in the soul and the possibility of enjoying grace.
2. My righteous anxiety itself makes me a good believer
When we see a person with good faith, we secretly say that that person must have received grace naturally because of God's special love, but it's okay. That's a misunderstanding. No one has ever developed a good faith by itself.
2 Corinthians 7:11 “Behold, how earnest are you this Godly sorrow…”
How earnestly this sorrow, done according to God's will, makes you... He said that this sorrow, which must be done according to God's will, will make you earnest and earnest.
There are many people with good faith in the Bible. If the representative of the Old Testament is Abraham, the father of faith is great, but if it is a great prophet of faith, it is Moses. There are several apostles in the New Testament, but they are also not Paul apostles. If there is a common personal characteristic of these two people, you can see that they were very humble before God.
When Moses knew his lack and received God's call, he said, "Lord, I can't do it." He knelt down and looked at his humble attitude. Until then, I was trained in the wilderness from the age of 40 to 80.
We see that Paul didn't become famous and powerful by itself, but he humbled himself by beating and subjugating his instinctive self and his spiritual self that was trying to be proud of his faith. 1 Corinthians 15:31 “...I die daily”
All of the problems in the church today are caused by the fact that they were born well. I don't see anyone humbly emptying themselves. Despite that, they are bragging about the humility of Christ and pretending to be holy and maintaining their form as a leader, but the people of the world are laughing at the church society.
At the time of Jesus, the scribes, Pharisees, and teachers of the law perished because they tried to present themselves. We should not take the history of Israel as an example, but we can deny that the church, which is supposed to light the world, is gradually falling into darkness while still trying to present itself.
In the book of Acts, when we receive God's covenant through the gospel and are asked to repent, we see that there are two types of responses.
1) Those who repent of their conscience before the voice of God
I think that crying and repenting like this is an attitude to be blessed and a morally and emotionally correct human being. I am a child and an adult these days, and I do not feel pain from advice. That's why I don't try to repent. It is a conscience that has been burned with fire in the last days (1 Timothy 4:2). It is an extremely dangerous spiritual world.
All the people in the Bible who wanted to be great also sinned and were unrighteous. However, the reason they appeared famous is that they repented of God's advice and recovered because they were thirsty for righteousness.
King David also shed a lot of blood in the war, and after committing a heinous crime that committed adultery with the wife of a loyal general Uriah and even killed her husband, his repentance lasted for the rest of his life.
Psalm 51:3-4 ‘3. For I know my transgression; my sins are always before me.
When a person commits a sin and has a sin in front of me, he has to be able to confess with his conscience to receive forgiveness or an opportunity for some kind of change. We see David candidly revealing his troubled conscience. This is the way to live. I have to be sick to live.
2) Those who receive the Word and sharpen their teeth
Acts 7:54 “When they heard these words, they were pierced in their hearts and gnashed their teeth at him.”
We get the same message, and some people are suffering from a remorse to receive grace, while others grind their teeth and throw stones like this.
In which direction do our hearts beat most when we hear the Word?
The Lord compared the social conscience of His day like this.
Matthew 11:17 “As it is said, “We blow the flute for you, but you do not dance; we weep, but you do not beat our hearts.”
2 Peter 2:12 “But these men are like irrational beasts, born to be caught and killed, blaspheming what they do not know, and perishing in their destruction.”
If you miss the opportunity to repent, it's over. The Bible tells Esau, who did not repent after making a mistake, but only became nervous and angry.
Hebrews 12:17 “As you know, after that, he sought with tears to inherit the blessing, but was rejected, and had no opportunity to repent.”
People sing only the good God every day, but in fact, if you miss the word about the terrible God, you will regret it. It is not just that God is good. We must remember the God who punishes and angers us.
They think that the saints will not be punished, but they are not. It is not a curse, but it can be punished. Therefore, when you repent and grieve yourself, listen to the Lord's counsel, examine yourself with deep meditation, and seek to be transformed into a new being, you must believe that God will bless you as a good believer with more grace in the new year. I pray that you and I will become a habit and become a lifestyle.
