Haman was very angry at Mordecai's actions and planned to annihilate not only Mordecai but also his people.
“To destroy all peoples”: (Hei; Rehashmid) means the concept of perfection in the word “shemad” of “destroy” or “to annihilate.” = It means a relatively large disaster such as war or genocide. .
1. Angry Haman
* Forgetting his former status and ascending to a higher position with the king's favor, he became proud.
* We need to think about when we were slaves to sin in the past and learn to embrace the mistakes of others. = Take care of newcomers.
* One's anger brings death to oneself.
(Job 5:2) “Anger kills a fool, and envy destroys a fool.”
(Proverbs 12:16) “A fool shows his wrath at once, but a prudent man endures shame.”
(Proverbs 19:19) “He who is furious will be punished, and if you rescue him, he will be rescued.”
2. Haman's Folly
* Haman is a typical character of an impatient person. He couldn't control himself and became angry because Mordecai didn't say hello.
* In order to solve his oar, he tried to show his existence to everyone. = Often Satan confuses the world for his one little thing./ He did the folly of killing all the children (under 2 years old) in Bethlehem to kill Jesus.
* In life, we have to discover our past self./ This adds a lesson to know yourself and know others.
(Proverbs 14:17) “He who is quick to anger does foolishness, and he who devises evil schemes is hated.”
(Proverbs 14:29) “He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is impatient in spirit shows folly.”
(Rev 12:12) “Therefore let the heavens and those who dwell in them rejoice, but woe to the earth and the sea, for the devil knows that his time is short, for he has come down to you in great anger.”
(1 John 3:8) “He who sins is of the devil, and the devil sins from the beginning, because the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil.”
