Title: To discern God's will
Contents
We often wander in our religious life, not knowing the will of God. ‘If you know God’s will, you are prepared to obey it… ’
It's not that God hears the voice with our ears, and it's frustrating not knowing how to discern God's will. I can't do it on my own though.
However, many people arbitrarily interpret the will of God and interpret it as an absolution. Also, many people misuse the word God's will in their lives of faith. There is a tendency to think that it is the will of God when it is comfortable with them first, and that it is not God's will when it is painful and difficult.
Our success or failure is to discern and obey God's will. Is there any way to discern God's will?
I. Obstacles to accomplishing God's will
---------------------------
1. It follows the principle of many (Exodus 23:2).
---------------------------
“Do not follow the majority to do evil, and do not give false testimony in the case of the majority.”
We must not assume that the majority are necessarily righteous or that it is the will of God. The will of God must be given priority over the majority (Matthew 7:13,14). Many people are not always right. Among the two reports of the 12 Canaanite spies (Numbers 13:30-33), the reports of the faith and confidence of Caleb and Joshua and the reports of the despair of 10 unbelievers are the many errors shown in the Bible. . The majority is not necessarily true. We must follow the will of God rather than the majority.
Our Christianity has a democratic element, but it is not a democracy, but a neo-capitalism. In the face of the truth, the few must follow the few, even if the majority wants them. The majority principle is just a universal principle that follows when it does not go against the will of God.

2. Even in disobedience, things work well (Jon 1:3)
---------------------------
“But Jonah got up to escape the presence of the Lord and went down to Joppa to flee to Tarshish. When he found a boat going to Tarshish, he paid a price for it and got into the boat to go with Tarshish to avoid the presence of the Lord.”
“Nineveh” is the capital of Assyria (2 Kings 19:36), where pride (Isaiah 10:13), cruelty (Na 3:1), and extreme selfishness (Zep 2:15) are prevalent. The ultimate reason for Jonah's disobedience to God's will and going to Tarshish was not to get out of the hand of God's power, but because he loved his people. Despite God's command, Jonah refused to go to Nineveh because of national feelings. The Israelites and the people of Nineveh were hostile. It was as if Korea and Japan had hostile feelings.
Have we ever disobeyed God's Word because of our feelings?
If we set our feelings on our own, we will not be able to accomplish the great will of God. We must follow the Word more than our own feelings. Even though Jonah knew what God's will was, he refused the command because of his feelings. Jonah flees from the presence of God, but he thinks that his way will go well. If things go well despite disobedience to God's Word, you should take a serious look at yourself, knowing that it is a curse, not prosperity. The fact is that disobedience is a prelude to even greater misfortune, if done well. You must repent of your disobedience and come back to God in order to live. Has anyone escaped the face of God and saw it go well? If I leave the face of God and things go well, I hope that I will be terrified and seek the face of God and do his will.

3. Being with evil people (Psalm 1:1, 2)
---------------------------
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful, 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
We must not associate with those who mock God. The Bible tells us not to be yoked with unbelievers. (2 Corinthians 6:14) We believe that we should not be with the wicked, but we should fellowship with the godly, pray, encourage, and live a life of mutual responsibility. I hope you will discern your will and achieve it.
---------------------------
4. Being deceived by Satan's father (2 Corinthians 11:13,14)
---------------------------
We must read their tactical strategy. Outwardly, he takes the form of an angel. The two-headed meatballs (羊頭狗肉), the mouth-watering swordsmanship (口蜜腹劍), the front-to-back movement (表裏不同), and the three-in-one (朝三暮四) are all Satan's favorite methods.
---------------------------
5. Relying on one's own understanding (Proverbs 3:5,6)
---------------------------
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 Admit him in all circumstances, and he will direct your paths.”
It refers to knowledge through human education or training that excludes the faith of Jehovah, and this intellectual pride only leads to self-destruction (16:18). Indeed, true understanding is a product of faith that is obtained through obedience to God's will and the pursuit of divine wisdom (Mc Kane). If you do not rely on God and rely on your own understanding (head, ability, ability), you will not be able to discern God's will.
We can discern God's will when we remove the five hindrances. I hope that you will overcome all these obstacles and discern the will of God and lead a successful life. (Aug. 28, 2005)
