Title: To God (Jeremiah 31:1-6)

Content To God (Jeremiah 31:1-6)

Park Kwang-hyun

A person has two freedoms. It is freedom to and freedom from God. In other words, there is freedom to go to God and freedom to depart from God. Freedom to God is the freedom to receive salvation, life, and happiness, whereas freedom to depart from God is freedom to destruction and misery. Verse 6 says, “Arise, let us go up to Zion to the LORD our God.”

1. I told you to get up. Verse 6 says, “Get up, ye.” In Acts 3, there was a lame man who was unable to walk from birth. One day he met Peter and John at the temple gate, who were going into the temple to pray. He was earning a living by begging in front of the temple gates every day. Peter said to him. “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give to you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.” Then he took his right hand and raised him up, and his feet and ankles were strengthened to walk and jump, praising God.

Isaiah 60:1 says, “Arise, shine!” To come to God, you have to get up like the cripple. In other words, you have to decide. The sooner you make good decisions, the better. You must get up now. You must make a decision now.

2. He told me to go up. Verse 6 says, “We went up to Zion.” Zion is synonymous with Jerusalem. The topography of Israel is Jerusalem at its highest point. And the Jerusalem Temple was located on a high place where you could see from anywhere in Jerusalem. You have to go up to get to Jerusalem from anywhere in the east, west, north or south.

Why do we have to go up to Zion? Because there is a temple and there is worship. Let's not hesitate any longer. let's get up let's go up let's not go down

3. I said let's go to God. At the end of verse 6, it says, “Let us come to our God.” These words reveal the direction and who the object is. When we go to God, we can meet God, have fellowship with God, and receive the grace and love that God gives us.

Dear all! What happens when we return to God?

At the end of verse 10, it says, “I will keep him,” and at the end of verse 12, it says, “I will have no worries.” At the end of verse 13, it says, “I will bring you joy.” At the end of verse 14, it says, “You will be satisfied. I will make you satisfied.”

Indeed, great grace is promised. It protects you, takes away your worries, makes you happy, and makes you satisfied. This is everyone's wish. But not everyone can get it.

You just have to come back to God. There is no need for me to protect myself, my property, and my health. God protects you. You don't have to stay up all night worrying about your worries.

God, who said, “Do not let your heart be troubled, because you believe in God, believe also in me.” God takes my sorrows instead.

No more worries and sorrows. Because God gives joy after sorrow.

When we return to God, we are full, satisfied, and satisfied. Because God is generous, generous, and has everything. Let's draw closer to God now.
