Title: To Save Israel/Judges 13:1-7
Contents The Philistines afflicted the Israelites a lot. So God sent a wonderful judge to save them. He is Samson, and he was born with a great mission to fight the Philistines for the rest of his life. When he died, he killed and killed the Philistines, but he killed more than he killed alive.
1. He conceived a savior.
(Judges 13:2) In the land of Zorah there was a man from the family of the tribe of Dan, whose name was Manoah. His wife was barren and could not bear anything. (Judges 13:3) An angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and told her. He said to them, "Behold, you were originally barren, and therefore did not bear, but now you will conceive and bear a son." In order to save the people of Israel, God made them born for a savior. In this way, God created human beings to save them. This is not immediate salvation, but it can be seen that there was a period in which Samson, who was born, was growing up. The people of Israel also suffered a lot under the Roman tyranny, but Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was not sent immediately, but in due time he did. “(Galatians 4:4) When the time was fulfilled, God sent his Son, born of a woman and under the law.
2. We have been distinguished from birth.
(Judges 13:7) He said to me, "Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you shall not drink wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean, for this child is a Nazarite dedicated to God from birth to the day of death." "I did. Samson's birth was fulfilled according to God's promise. And he was already separated from his mother's womb to save Israel. In other words, you were trying to make a big use of it. The thing to think about here is that the people God wants to use are selected from God's side and used separately from ordinary people. That is, you do not do the work of the Lord, but that God allows you to do it. This is not for the individual being used, but for saving the people through the person being used. Therefore, we should remember that the servants of the Lord do not exist for themselves, but only for the people and the saints.
3. He works through the Savior.
(Judges 13:5) Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you shall not put a razor on his head; for this child is a Nazarite offered to God from the womb, and he will begin to deliver Israel from the hand of the Philistines. "I did. Those who are dedicated to God must not drink wine or strong drink, make the hair of their head grow, and keep away from unclean things. The reason is that those whom God uses dearly must always be spiritually awake, always obey God, and keep away from sin. God does great things through people. (Jeremiah 3:15) “And I will give you shepherds after My own heart, and they will nourish you with knowledge and understanding.” . (Hebrews 13:17) Be obedient to those who lead you and be submissive, for they watch for your souls as if they were accountants. Let them do this with joy, and not with sorrow; otherwise There is no benefit."
conclusion
God sent Samson to save Israel. Then he should be careful and do God's will, but he couldn't. So he did not die cleanly. Therefore, you have to be careful yourself, but many people should cooperate with the sender as best they can. Only then will God's will be done.
