Title: To the Lord (Matt 11:28-30)

Contents

Many people these days are under stress due to several factors. Psychologically, the causes of such stress can be divided into several categories. The number one cause of stress is anxiety. The second win-in is frustration. The third component of stress is conflict. However, the important thing is that when these stresses are not properly relieved, they cause illness and disability in people. We believers are no exception. Today's text gives us new hope to those of us who are burdened with stress and heavy burdens in our lives.

1. As the Son of God, Jesus is the Lord of everything in this world (verse 27).

It's true that humor consultants and comedians make us laugh. It can also be a source of vitality in your life. However, they cannot solve the fundamental problems of life. But, as the text says, Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Therefore, Jesus is the one who can solve the problems of our life. Therefore, if you are a true Christian, you do not need to be under stress. If a believer lives under stress, that person does not pray and lives without knowing the power of the Lord.

2. Jesus can solve our burdens because He is the one who took our sins away.

The causes of stress are anxiety, frustration and conflict. But from a theological point of view, the cause of all these psychological factors and stress is human sin. Because of sin, we have become creatures of anxiety, frustration, and conflict. Therefore, human burden cannot be relieved without solving this problem of sin. However, because Jesus atoned for human sins, those who are in Jesus Christ have all their sins forgiven. What is important is the grace and joy that we Christians enjoy.

3. Because Jesus experienced all our weaknesses, He can bear our burdens (Hebrews 4:15-16).

In other words, Jesus experienced all our weaknesses, that is, Jesus was a perfect man. And to say that Jesus was fully human means that He suffered all the emotional pain and suffering we have ever experienced. But it was Jesus who did not sin even in one such circumstance. Therefore, the Bible exhorts us to come boldly to the throne of grace of Jesus Christ in order to obtain grace to help in time of need.

Today, we live in an age where not only the burden of sin, but also all kinds of stress, diseases, and problems in relationships weigh us down in a competitive society. Toward such me and you today, the Lord is inviting us with open arms. As long as we put our burdens on the Lord with faith, the Lord will accept everything and solve everything. I ask in the name of the Lord that all of you who are here today may find true rest and rest in the Lord by entrusting your burdens to Him.
