Content to this church
Psalm 84:1-12
Why are we establishing this church here?
How should this church lead a life of faith? We would like to convey the founding spirit through today's scriptures.
1. Why are we establishing this church here?
(1) This church is established as a house of God for God (4)
This text says that the church is the court of the Lord, the tabernacle of the Lord, the altar of the Lord, and the house of the Lord.
Jesus also said that the church is my Father's house in John 2:16.
(Exodus 25:8-9) "I have made them a sanctuary for them to dwell among them, (9) You shall build them according to the pattern of the tabernacle and its utensils, as I will show you."
(1 Chronicles 29:1) "King David said to all the congregation, "Solomon, my son, alone is God's chosen one, but he is young and weak, and his work is great. This house is not for men, but for the Lord God."
(2) This church is established to bless people (4)
The church was established by God to transform and grow people, to bless and grow the family, to grow business and to make the nation safe and revitalized.
(Exodus 39:43) “And when Moses saw all that was written, he blessed them, because it was as the Lord had commanded.”
(2 Samuel 6:11-12) “The ark of the Lord stayed in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and he blessed all his house. He blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that he had.” So David went and carried the ark of God with joy, and went up from the house of Obed-edom to the city of David.”
1) Gain power (5)
2) Open the great road of Zion in your heart (5)
3) The Valley of Tears will become a place of many springs.
(1 Kings 8:38-39) "If there is one person or all of Your people Israel, every one of you, when each of you realizes the calamity in his heart, and opens his hands toward this temple and makes any prayer or supplication, he hears from your dwelling place in heaven and forgives you. Know each person's heart, do according to all their deeds and repay you. For you alone know the heart of a human being."
2. How should we live our faith in this church?
(1) We must love and long for the church (1-2)
Longing for and loving the Lord's house in the text---
(1 Chronicles 29:3) "Besides all these which I have prepared for the temple, since my heart longs for the house of my God, I have given it for the house of my God with the gold and silver of my offering."
(Jon 2:4) “I said, Though I have been cast out of your sight, I will look to your temple again.”
(2) Get a nest and serve as a gatekeeper.(3)
You have to do your job and take good care of it. Must be faithful to the mission with a sense of duty
Must be a gatekeeper (10)
You have to come to church early to greet and guide.
(3) Each must appear before God (7,10)
(Numbers 10:3) “When the two trumpets are blown, the whole congregation will gather at the door of the tent of meeting and come to you.
(Exodus 29:42) "This is the burnt offering that you shall offer from generation to generation at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD; there I will meet you and speak to you."
One day (Sunday) has been designated, so it must be observed carefully.(10)
▶President Carter of the United States was thinking about what to do with Sunday when the election day was near. The advisors insisted that the last election campaign should be held because it was a precious time. Carter was worried. This time is as precious as gold. He decided. This means that time as precious as a thousand gold should be given to God.
He worshiped at the Florida Baptist Church that Sunday and glorified God.
(4) Come and pray
(2 Chronicles 7:12-16) "The LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said, "I have already heard your prayers and have chosen this place to be a sacrifice to me. (14) When my people, who are called by my name, turn from their wicked ways and humble themselves and pray and seek my face, when locusts eat the land, or when a pestilence spreads among my people, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins. (15) I will lift up my eyes and give my ears to the prayers of this place (16) because I have chosen and sanctified this temple, that it may be here forever in my name. my heart will always be here"
(2 Kings 19:14-15) “When Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the lion, he went up to the house of the Lord and opened the letter before the Lord (15) and prayed before him, saying, “O Lord, the God of Israel, who is above the cherubim, you You alone are God, you made the heavens and the earth."
(Isaiah 56:7) “I will bring him to my holy mountain, and I will make them happy in my house of prayer, and their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” (Matthew 21:13)

(5) Listen to the Word
(Acts 5:20-21) "Go and stand in the temple and tell the people all the words of this life." (21) When they heard it, they entered the temple at dawn and taught.
(Isaiah 2:3) “Many people will go and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his ways. For the word will come out of Jerusalem."
(Nehemiah 8:8) "They read the book of the law of God, and interpreted its meaning, and made the people understand what was being read." "When the people heard the word of the law, they all wept. Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the people. The Levites who taught said to all the people, "Do not mourn or weep, for today is a holy day to the LORD your God."
