Title: Top of the bread / John 6:34
Contents
Let's think about the position of the top of the rice cake once again. Until they stand in front of the table of bread, they must pass through the east gate (the only gate), the altar of burnt offering, and the laver before they can enter the sanctuary.
In other words, those who can enjoy the bread on top are those who have passed the altar of burnt offering and those who have washed their hands in the laver. Through the blood sacrifice on the altar of burnt offering, they went to God, confirming that God had forgiven their sins. We must think of the cross in front of this altar. No one can come to God without going through this cross. Then, those who became children of God who were cleansed by the blood of Christ had the most important problem solved. The ideal that we live on this earth is that we must continue to fight the problem of sin. That's why we live a life of washing our hands every day. By living a sanctified life, we come to God and now eat the bread.
3. Sufficient and plentiful
The showbreads are twelve. The twelve symbolize the twelve tribes of Israel. This bread was presented every Sabbath, and the old bread was eaten by the priests. The priest is the representative of Israel, so all the people of Israel eat it. There is always this bread in the sanctuary. It means that anyone who enters the sanctuary will receive bread. As we read a while ago, the Bread of Life is Jesus Christ. It is said that the Word became flesh and is among us .... Jesus fed 5,000 people with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish and left 12 light bulbs... It shows the richness of Jesus. is.
In today's text, he said, "He who comes to me will never go hungry."
How rich and full are you in the Pacific Ocean? You are the creator of the Pacific Ocean. How rich is our Lord? John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 John 16 And from his fullness we all received, grace upon grace.
Beloved, our Lord is truly a fulness. So let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may find mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
John 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing.
Romans 7 25 I give thanks to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
No one can live without eating Jesus, the Bread of Life.
4. The Priest's Labor
Kids these days probably don't know how rice cakes are made. You just know that the machine will do it for you. I only know that rice cakes are bought and eaten. In the past, when we were young, the day we made rice cakes was a very enjoyable day and a day of great events. Even before eating the rice cakes, the joy was great.
The priests had to work very hard to make the bread for the sanctuary. Picking wheat, pounding it in a mortar, laying it on a millstone, beating it with a sieve, kneading it, and roasting it over a fair fire must not have been difficult.
The same goes for other people, but if I can get a good sermon, I don't spare any money to get the material.
Beloved, I pray in the name of the Lord that you think of the hard work of making bread and eat it with grace. And we must pray. You need encouragement. 1 Corinthians 16:18 He says, 'They have refreshed your hearts with me; therefore, know these people.'
5. How to eat mochi
Psalm 119:103 How sweet are your words to me, sweeter than honey to my mouth. Psalm 19:10 They will be desired more than gold, much fine gold, sweeter than honey and honeycomb
Acts 17 11 The Bereans were more gentle than those in Thessalonica, so they received the word with eagerness of heart, and searched the Scriptures daily to see if this was the case.
Acts 17 12 Many of them believed, and there were not a few Greek ladies and men.
Guys, we have something to learn from the Bereans. It means that we received the Word with earnestness and secondly, we studied the Bible every day. Just as food tastes better the more we chew it, it is a great blessing to us when we eat while chatting with the Word.
We believe that we should imitate the attitude of the psalmist. Psalm 119 20 My heart is broken by always longing for your ordinances.
Psalm 119 82 My eyes are weary from waiting for your word, saying, ?쏻ill you ever comfort me???Psalm 119131 I opened my mouth and panted, because I longed for Your commandments.
Psalm 119147 Before dawn I cried and waited for Your word;
Psalm 119148 My eyes are awake before the night is deep to meditate on your word.
I think it is desirable for us to study the Bible. Bible study is like private tutoring. The more you do it, the better it is because we want to make you learn what is not enough. However, if you usually look at it, you will see that children who are good at studying are more likely to do more, and those who are not studying are more disliked.
I said that you will long for it more than gold. Blessed are those who meditate day and night. Faith is by hearing, Hearing is the word of God of Christ. I pray in the name of the Lord that we will all become faith that is recognized by God by standing firm in the Word. Amen
