touch me
(Luke 24:36-42)
(…) Jesus himself was captured by Roman soldiers and suffered harsh punishment, whips, ridicule and insult before death. That scene was so horrifying. But the one who was so thoroughly killed and sealed in the tomb came to life. It is an unbelievable and unbelievable time, the Lord appeared to the disciples. The disciples did not believe even when they saw it before their eyes. At that time, the Lord said, “Look at my hands and feet” as a way to prove Himself.(…) The Lord showed the stigma, or traces of it, to the disciples. Jesus' hope is to see the nail marks. The pride of Jesus, the meaning of Jesus, and the faith in Jesus come from looking straight at the nail marks.
The nail marks were God's punishment for me.
(…) The cross of Jesus, the nail marks on his hands and feet, and the gut wounds on his side mean that he bears the burden of sin. That's why Paul said to the Romans, "There is no condemnation for those who believe in Jesus." The Lord shed sweat like blood. Instead, the cost of suffering is so painful.(…) So we have to touch the hands and feet of Jesus.
Believe in the resurrection and eternal life.
On the day the Lord was resurrected, the disciples were afraid and gathered in the upper room. The Lord suddenly appeared where the doors were closed. “Peace be with you” He told the disciples to have peace in their hearts. And he showed me his hands and his side. All the doors are closed, but you appear as an invisible man. He showed the wounds on his hands and side to the disciples who saw it and thought it was a vision.(…) He told them to receive the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came upon them, the resurrection of the Lord, which was only in their heads, scorched the hearts of the disciples. Finally, the disciples confessed, “You are the Savior.” Only when we were filled with the Holy Spirit, the resurrection of the Lord, which was only in our minds, warmed our hearts. Tears reddened. “Yes! The Lord is risen. You are the Christ.” It became an event of faith.
We must see the marks on His hands and feet. (…) The hands of Jesus are the hands that embrace the leper, the hands that wash the feet of the disciples, the hands that are nailed and torn and bleeding. Jesus' feet were the feet that ran to and comforted us wherever there was worry, anxiety, and unbelief. The hands and feet shown to the disciples are resurrected hands and feet that have entered into eternal life. Look at the Lord's hands and feet. And deepen your faith in the recycling. Then the earth will be filled with resurrection life. Amen.
