Title: Treat people with wisdom
Contents
7 The one who disciplines the scornful gets reproach, but the one who rebukes the wicked finds fault. 8 Do not reprove the scornful, lest he hate you. Rebuke the wise, he will love you. 9 Add instruction to the wise. You will grow wiser, teach the righteous, and his learning will increase. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will do you good; but if you are arrogant, you alone will harm yourself.
1. Words that begin
It's a situation where you'll be scolding the child and the mother and rebuking them, but if you do that, you won't be able to find anything. When we were young, our parents used to say to the elders in the neighborhood, “This is my child, and if I make a mistake, please correct me and guide me.” When we were young, we also had a hard time with the elders in the neighborhood, and if we made a mistake, we would be reprimanded. However, these days, if you rebuke someone else's child, you're in trouble. “It’s a star! Why are you killing someone else's child!” You must be prepared to fight against your parents who shout and run.
2. Discipline and rebuke of the haughty and the wicked
The purpose of reproof and discipline is to correct the wrongdoer, and furthermore, through it, prevent others from doing the same. Rebuke, especially discipline followed by a whip, is the last love for a person who is not corrected by instruction, advice, or advice. In this day and age when there are many people who know only themselves, boastful, and have no interest in others, it is very grateful that there are people who rebuke and even discipline those who have made a mistake or made a mistake with love. .
When rebuking or chasing others, the most important thing is accurate judgment, not prejudice or stereotypes. The next most important thing is a heart of love, not a feeling of anger or hypocrisy. In Matthew 7:3, we read, “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not understand the log that is in your own eye? “You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly and remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
There are certainly people in this world who need not rebuke or discipline, even if we have good judgment or know the proper Word of God. Although there are loving hearts, there are certainly people who should not be reproached or disciplined. Those poor people are arrogant and evil people who say there is no God.
Haughty people who say there is no God reproach those who discipline them, and even hate those who rebuke them. The wicked find fault with those who rebuke them.
There are many arrogant and wicked people in the world who cannot be compared to such people. The faults of the haughty or the wicked need advice, advice, and satire, not reproof or discipline. If you do not listen, you have no choice but to leave it to the public authorities or the law.
There is no need to preach the gospel, which should be preached to all, by begging for those who do not hear it and do not accept it. In Acts 13:46, we read, “Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly, saying, The word of God should be preached to you first, but since you have rejected it, and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we turn to the Gentiles.” I did. This is the reaction of Paul and Barnabas when the Jews who had heard the gospel saw the crowds gathered to hear the word of the gospel and were full of envy and denounced and slandered what Paul said.
3. Rebuke and Education of the Wise
It is not the proud, the wicked, or the foolish who should be reproached, but the wise and the righteous. The best way to correct the wrongdoer and to fulfill the purpose of reproof, which is alarming to many, is to reprove the wise, and to reprove the righteous. The reason is that the wise and the righteous know precisely the nature of all human beings, including themselves. Because they are well aware of human creation and sinful nature, imperfection and dependence, possibility and finiteness, selfishness and contradiction, weakness and mortality, they are not arrogant, humbly discerning and obeying the will of God, and are worthy of God and men. to live in pursuit of. Their characteristic is that they are always open-headed and open-minded to hear and accept reproofs, lessons, or teachings.
Therefore, a wise person or a righteous person loves someone who rebukes them, which is difficult for them to do, as close friends. Proverbs 27:6 says, “A friend's advice is from loyalty, but the enemy's frequent kiss is from deceit.” A wise person or a righteous person becomes wiser by accepting the teachings of others, and by accepting the teachings of others, they accumulate learning abundantly. May all of us be enriched with wisdom and knowledge, just like people who believe in Jesus Christ, the repository of wisdom and knowledge, and like people who listen to the sermons of the gospel every Sunday.
Under Lincoln, there was a problem with the cabinet, so one cabinet was replaced. Outraged Republican senators urged that at least seven cabinet members be replaced. Then, with a smile, Lincoln began to tell the story of a farmer.
A farmer's wife, who suffers every night from the skunks, the foul-smelling animals, is angry with her husband to get rid of the skunks. One night, the farmer took his gun and went outside. Some time later, after gunshots were heard, the husband returned. My wife said, “Honey, you must have wiped out the skunks!” Then the farmer said, “I was hiding and waiting, but it finally showed up. Not just one, but seven of them in a row and toddle in the moonlight, and they fired their guns to see if they could do anything.” “So what happened?” asked the wife. Then the farmer said, “I caught one. Can't we just surprise the rest?"
Even Republican senators who came to protest said they laughed and returned home.
When I see people who are arrogant, arrogant, or arrogant about small achievements, I feel sorry for them because they seem to criticize them without realizing that they are all other people's things. In fact, today's me is all made of other people's things. Everyone! I hope you will grow to the fullest through the reproofs, lessons, teachings, and books of others. I hope that you will become a person of faith who can overcome the world and prosper by reading the Word of God more and listening to the sermon with all your soul every time.
We need to learn the Word diligently to fear God more and to know the Holy God more deeply. To fear the Lord God is the beginning of wisdom, and to know the Holy God is understanding. Those who have the wisdom of faith will enjoy the blessing of long life and eternal life through the wisdom of God.
4. Conclusion
In this age when there are many people who only know themselves, boastful, and have no interest in others, we must be wise people who love those who rebuke and discipline us when we make a mistake. Also, I hope that you will always be a person of faith who will prosper by listening to God's Word and other people's teachings and teachings with an open mind and heart.
We too should be able to arouse the arrogant and the wicked with counsel, advice, and satire, and to rebuke, instruct, and teach the wise and the righteous. May all of us put away the arrogance that harms us alone, and may we abound in wisdom that benefits our lives.
