Title: Tribulation and Faith (Exodus 14:10-14)
Content God heard the prayers of the Israelites and their outcry while they were slaves in Egypt for 430 years, and appointed Moses as the leader of Israel, and through him liberated the nation of Israel from Egypt, and the milk and milk that God promised. He proceeded with a great plan to conquer the honey-flowing land of Canaan. After the people of Israel came out of Egypt, the first thing they faced was the Red Sea in front of them, and the Egyptian army was chasing them from behind. Indeed, they were in a crisis of dilemma that they could neither move forward nor go back.
In such a situation, Moses, the great leader of the nation of Israel, established by God, would like to share grace with him while pondering the Word about how he successfully overcame this tribulation with what kind of faith.
First, Moses firmly believed in the word of God's promise.
The LORD will fight for you. Be still (verse 14). Moses, the man of God, also suffered the same tribulation as the Israelites, but he had an active and positive faith, so he was not afraid of tribulation and was able to have bold faith. He was able to look at the great power of God without complaining about it.
However, because the people of Israel had a negative and passive faith, they were afraid, embarrassed, complaining and resenting because of tribulation. They were also gripped by discouragement, despair, and frustration. We often see two types of faith in church life. One is positive and positive faith, and the other is negative and passive faith. The God we believe in is an active God, a positive faith, and a negative and passive faith. The God we believe in is an active God and a positive God. Jesus said, “If you can, nothing is impossible for him who believes” (Mark 9:23). confessed. No matter what kind of tribulation we face, we must overcome with positive and positive faith.
Third, Moses completely surrendered all his problems before God and prayed.
The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Command the children of Israel to go forward, take up your staff, and stretch your hand out over the sea, and split it in pieces. The children of Israel will walk on dry land in the midst of the sea (Exodus 14:!5,16) When Moses encountered tribulation, he did not use human means but went to God, surrendered all his problems, and prayed to overcome them. On the other hand, the people of Israel resented the situation they had been subjected to by looking at the environment, and eventually fell into disappointment and frustration.
When we are in trouble, we should not look at the circumstances, but go to God like Moses, surrender all our problems, and pray. James 5:13 says, “Is anyone among you suffering? He will pray.” In Mark 11:24, therefore, I say to you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it. He said that it will be so to you.
Dear saints, No matter what kind of tribulation you face while you live in this world, never be afraid or discouraged, just like Moses, believe firmly in the word of God's promises, surrender all your problems to God with positive and positive faith, and have the faith to pray for victory I bless you in the name of the Lord.
