Part 1: Encounter with intelligent - Growing up in knowledge - ①
?Intellect expands time and space?
Life can be said to be 'taking the traces of others and leaving your own traces'. This is the process of life. Meeting is also a process of exchanging these traces.
Among the lectures taught at school, there is a subject called 'Film and Worldview'. It is a subject where we watch a movie every week and discuss it. Among the films we cover, there is a movie called -Dead Poets Society. The story begins when John Keating, an alma mater, is newly appointed as an English teacher at Welton, a dormitory-type secondary school. The students here are tired of the entrance exam, who think that it is enough to memorize Latin and do well in math, so that they only go to a good university. However, the new teacher Keating brings challenges, enthusiasm and new stimulation to the hearts of students.
Keating comes into the first class and introduces the word ‘Carpe Diem. It means “hold on to the present life”. The next section introduces a poem by Walter Whitman. “Life is a lively play, and you too are a poem. What poetry do you want your life to contribute to?” In this way, he opens his students' eyes to the true life. Watching this movie, I think that the teacher is not only the teacher of the hang-sengs in the movie, but also my own teacher. Isn't it a must to meet?
When I think about what it means to know or meet someone, I think that I may have known and met him as much as the traces of life that the daebang left me with are still alive. Will it be the same when we meet Jesus? If I can remember the beautiful aspects of life he left for me, the messages he gave me, moment by moment, and act as a compass for my life at the moment of important decisions, then I know him to that extent.
Therefore, 'knowing something' or 'meeting someone' does not happen only in the same time and space as esktnsgl. We have been blessed with the ability to expand and prolong time and space through a unique function called ‘mind (intellect)’ that God has given us. So, I would like you to look at the following from the point of view of how to hone this intellect in order to receive more. Training to develop intelligent - ②
