Title: True Disciple / Luke 14:25-
Content Example: That's not enough. (Hokma)
There was a woman who had lost her husband early and raised only one son.
She was a very devout Christian, always at the forefront of church work, and seemed ready to risk even her life for Jesus.
However, from one day onwards, the woman started experiencing strange symptoms.
It was frustrating and he was losing his motivation to do everything.
She prayed more earnestly and clinged to God. Then, from her heart, she
I heard the voice of God resounding.
“You have not given me all your things.”
At that moment, her son entered the room. Then she heard the voice of God that she had just heard.
He passed on the word to his son and complained.
“I have served the Lord with all that I have until now. If the Lord wants all of my possessions,
I can give it all, and if you want my life, I am ready to give it even my life. But my
If you have not given everything, what more do you have to offer here?"
Then the son said to her with a cautious expression.
“Did you know that I applied as an African missionary?”
She looked straight at her son and shouted loudly.
"Give me my life, but it's not enough. Oh, Lord! Please take my son away from me.
Don't take it away."
There was one thing more precious to her than life.
A disciple of Jesus must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow the Lord.
Paul tells Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:3
2 Timothy 2:3 You shall suffer with me as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Said. Disciples are made through training, suffering and hard work.
At this time, I pray in the name of the Lord that the precious grace of moving forward as true disciples of Jesus through the text will be with you.
1. Think Enough
(1) Like a wise architect
①The builder was probably building a tower for the vineyard.
②The tower of the vineyard is a hut to guard, and it is a place to guard against thieves who come to steal the harvest from the vineyard.
③The suspended tower of this vineyard is not only meaningless, it is also an abomination.
④ Therefore, the person who builds the tower must first design and calculate the cost.
⑤ If you don't, you're a fool, and you're just being ridiculed by others.
(2) Like a wise king
Jesus is telling another parable.
①If there was a king with 10,000 men, would he fight against 20,000 enemies?
Or you have to decide quickly whether to make friends.
② If you are not confident, it is wise to make peace quickly.
**** The same is true of the religious life. ****
(1) Carefully examine the [cost] of your religious life
(2) Begin with the determination to endure to the end
(3) Fully recognize the [dangers] of the religious life.
2. Take up your cross
(1) Hate your family
Luke 14:26 Anyone who comes to me cannot become my disciple unless he hates his father and mother, wife and wife, brothers and sisters, and even even his own life.
① The word [hate] means [love less].
In Hebrew, the word [set aside, throw away] means [disconnection] rather than psychological hatred.
② First, it is to love God.
Matthew 10:37 He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, nor anyone who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
③The Lord said to Peter,
Matthew 19:27 Peter answered and said, Behold, since we left everything and followed you, what then shall we obtain?
Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, when the world will be new and will be created and the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who follow me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging Israel on twelve thrones.
Matthew 19:29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive many times more, and will inherit eternal life.
④ It is a blessing given to those who have given up for the sake of the gospel.
(2) Deny yourself
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
① It means to throw away all your selfish desires and thoughts.
Gal 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts
I nailed it
② It means to throw away all of your old self and sinful nature.
Romans 6:6 And we know that our old self was crucified with Jesus so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
③ The ego will die.
(3) Take up your cross.
① The cross is a representative symbol of death of disgrace and shame.
② The Lord knew that he would die on the cross before he was crucified, and he truly
What He is saying is that the way to follow Christ is to take up the cross and follow Him.
③ What does it mean to take up one's cross?
For the sake of Jesus Christ, to endure all trials and tribulations, and to follow Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:24 I now rejoice in your afflictions for your sake, and fill the rest of Christ's afflictions in my body for the sake of his body, the church.
Philippians 1:29 It has been granted to you for Christ's sake, not only by believing in him,
also to suffer for him.
EX. To this end, Peter was hung upside down on the cross, and countless ancestors of faith
The blood of martyrdom was shed.
Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's princess.
Hebrews 11:25 Rather, they prefer to suffer with God's people than to enjoy the pleasures of iniquity for a short time.
Hebrews 11:26 Reproach for the sake of Christ was counted as riches greater than all the treasures of Egypt, because they looked to the reward.
365 My Lord's Cross
Verse 1) The cross that my Lord carried, whether we should not bear the cross that everyone has, I have it too.
Verse 2) I will always carry the cross that was conceived as my share and go to heaven to wear that crown.
We pray in the name of the Lord that we too will become saints who carry the cross on our neck.
3. Abandon all that you have
(1) The word [throw away] means [give up] [throw away], and it means to give up attachment to possessions.
will be.
Luke 14:33 In the same way, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Philippians 3:8 Also, all things are counted as loss because of the nobleness of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because for his sake I lost everything, and in excrement I gained Christ.
Philippians 3:9 to be found in him...
Conclusion: We are followers of Jesus Christ.
Disciples are beings that are being trained and perfected through training and trials.
We stand before the Lord as a true disciple by denying ourselves and bearing our cross.
I bless all the saints in the name of the Lord.
