Title: True Leader
Content It was Teacher's Day, but the love and respect between the priests seems to have been diluted, and I know that the church is no different. Especially, the leading leaders of the church must fear God and lead the church because there is judgment (James 3:1). The lessons Paul gave to the leaders and followers of the troubled Corinthian church in his day were:
1. True Leaders Become Gender 1-
1) A person who strives for holiness Phase 1 - Before “… perfecting holiness in the fear of God”, the people who received love through the atonement of Christ (12:19, 1 Corinthians 10:14, 15:58, Romans 12:19), it is said that we have the promise of God, “we who have this promise” are. Because the saints pointed out in the previous chapter are the temple of God and children of God, they have to live according to His will, and fear takes precedence. “The fear of God” is a godly reverence, which is the duty of the saints (Ecclesiastes 12:13). This man, “Ps 1:1, does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in an arrogant seat”, that is, he is a person who continues to strive for holiness (present participle).
2) Those who strive for sanctification 1H- “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of body and spirit” is the overall condition for achieving holiness. If believers say they do not have the sanctification that God requires, they will be like people of the world. Here, “flesh” means our body, and the uncleanness of this flesh is “lawlessness and darkness.” That is, the unclean acts of the flesh are verbal abuse, fornication, drunkenness, communication, defrauding, lying, and so on. “Every defilement of the spirit” is “6:15-16, Belial and idols.” In particular, since heresy, other religions, and ideology such as dangun image can defile the believer's spirit, you must know how to discern goodness (1 John 4:1). The church will be sanctified only when the leader of the church puts effort into sanctification through the Word and the blood of Christ.
2. We must receive true leaders 2-4
1) No harm 2- “Receive us with your heart… No injustice, no harm, no deceit, no deception” Since it is a past imperative, it is decisive to open your heart at once. And the three main texts are: ① Do not treat people unfairly and do what is right ② Do not harm others and give benefits ③ Don’t exploit material things, but rather help them must give The Corinthian church criticized Paul a lot, but he led the way through the gospel and reform. If a clergyman teaches the Bible incorrectly and leads the church to humanism, the heart cannot live, so we have to leave him, and if we are virtuous, we should welcome him.
2) Loved passionately 3- “I am saying these words to condemn you… so that we may die together and live together.” Paul could condemn the members of the rfls who blasphemed and interfered with the spread of the gospel, but rather, he sought their affection. (Apostle Paul's passionate love for the church in Corinth has been mentioned before (1:6, 2:4, 3:3, 6:11-13), and it is a confession that his passion for life and death does not change as it is now. As a leader, the church must receive it: a paid shepherd leaves his sheep and flees to live (John 10:12-13), and a false prophet falsely disguises himself (Zechariah 13:4), but is a predatory wolf (Matthew 7: 15).
3) Trust in the church 4- “There are many bold things” Paul trusted the church in Corinth and loved him deeply. Paul, the spiritual father of the church in Corinth, is the spiritual father of the church in Corinth (Psalm 127:4-5). It was a lot to be proud of. “It is full of comfort and overflows with joy” The specific comfort and joy “5-16” have been revealed, and also comfort (1:3-4) and joy have already been revealed (2:2-14). This was the result of Paul's trust and pride toward them, and our church should also be a comfort and joy to the leaders.
(Conclusion) It is very difficult to lead others, and it is not easy to be an exemplary true leader. Like Paul, we need to focus on holiness and holiness, and when we receive leaders who benefit, love, and trust on the side of the leadership, we will become a healthy and productive church.
