Not only in terms of politics and economics, but also in terms of religion, the United States, a Christian nation, is suffering from drugs and crime, and Ilbe, which is the second country of the Gospel of the Acts of the Apostles, is also in our society with an increase in heinous crimes and a dying recognition. In the dark they are concerned that they are being cast.
This phenomenon stems from the social ills that come from the tyranny of collective selfishness or the tyranny of a small number of established interests, just as aggravation builds up good and small clouds obscuring the sun and darkening the whole world.
1. Jesus came to give light to the shadowy ones.
The people Jesus was looking for were the poor, the blind, the wounded and the oppressed. The reason many people follow Jesus is because he fed the hungry, healed the sick, and became neighbors to the marginalized.
2. Jesus came to give a sword to those in darkness.
When the gospel was preached in the synagogue, everyone was enthusiastic. This was because his message contained hope and blessings. But they were so angry that they tried to kill Jesus when they realized that they were not the ones who were happy to hear the message.
Why? Because they were in the dark. Those in darkness are those whose authority must precede and self-interest. This world is losing its true peace because of those around us.
However, they too are actually in the shadows because they hate the light. Only the way that everyone walks together before Jesus Christ, who has come as the light, will this society be reformed into a prosperous and peaceful society.
