Psalm 128

1. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD and walks in his way.

2. You shall eat according to the toil of your hands, and you shall be blessed and prosper.

3. Your wife in the inner chamber of your house will be like a fruitful vine, and your children around your table will be like young olive trees.

4. Those who fear the LORD will thus be blessed.

5. May the LORD bless you in Zion; you shall see the blessings of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

6. Behold your children, peace be with Israel.

Matthew 7

21. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and perform many mighty works in your name?

23. Then I will say to them plainly, I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.

24. Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25. The rain falls, and the floods come, and the winds blew and beat against the house, but it does not fall, because the foundation is laid on the rock.

26. Anyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

27. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the wind blew and struck the house, and it fell, and the fall was severe.

Subject: True Success

Text: Psalm 128:1-6, Matthew 7:21-27,

Today's New Testament text (Matthew 7:21-27) is the end of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-7:29) and corresponds to the conclusion. This is a content that calls for a desirable response to the teachings of the Lord. He divided the lives of the wise and those without wisdom, which is also the conclusion of the Old Testament wisdom book. These words reminded me of spiritual victory related to success. This is a letter sent to the seven churches in Asia Minor in the book of Revelation (Revelation 2:1-3:22). There are two verses repeated seven times. One is 'the one who has an ear' (Rev 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22) and the other is the 'one who overcomes' (Rev 2:7,11,17,26; 3:5). ,12,21). How you respond to the word of the Lord determines your victory or defeat. It is the condition of a wise life. Here, ‘one who has ears’ is an expression that encompasses not only careful listening, but also faith and obedience according to the Word as a result of listening.

I understand that the seven churches in Asia Minor transcend time and space and encompass all the conditions and problems of all the churches on this earth. Every church has needed praise, encouragement, and reproof. Here, “one who overcomes” refers to the kind of church that the Lord, who is the owner and head of the church, expects. This is a natural task for the church to take rather than a wish. This is the natural aspect of “Your church, which the powers of Hades will not overcome” (Matthew 16:18), spoken in the Caesarea Philippi region. You have not forgotten the promises that come with victory. The people and church of Jesus Christ are called to this victory. Standing at the door and knocking (Revelation 3:20) makes us feel compassion for giving us victory.

For Christians as well as for the Christian Church, there is a way to victory and success.

(Success) is sometimes used to organize the elements of a successful life. The first is salvation. If you live a finite life and fail to gain eternal life, you cannot say that you have lived a successful life, no matter what worldly things you have. It is a life that leads to salvation by believing in the love of God revealed in the gospel (John 3:16). The second is enlightenment and understanding. True enlightenment is understanding the way of the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18). “Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). This enlightenment of the cross gives us a new understanding of ourselves and our neighbors. You are in a state where you can taste the thrill of the soul while singing “The precious body of the saint” (Chapter 356).

The third is healthy confidence. There is a voice coming from the corner of my heart as I sing of my calling and dedication. Is it really possible? That's the sound. That's the answer. “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Fourth is commitment and commitment. The fifth is Enthusiasm. The cold first love excites us with a bigger wave (Haggai 1:14). The sixth is Service. It is the attitude of living according to the Lord (John 13:1-17), who did not come to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). The seventh is Smile. It is the love (John 13:34) and joy that believers who gain joy through fellowship with God (Philippians 4:4-7) share with their neighbors. The saint in Jesus Christ is a life that anyone can embody. Of course, the realization of a happy family (Psalm 128:1-6) is also possible.
