true well-being
(Ecclesiastes 3:10-15)
>
… ) Today's text is from Ecclesiastes. The book of Ecclesiastes is a life confession written by King Solomon, and it talks about well-being and a healthy life, although it is a fleeting and empty life. Wellbeing life is grace and blessing. Wellbeing means having a healthy life, a sound mind, and a healthy faith. There are people who are physically healthy but unhappy in spirit, and there are people who seem to have everything but have the wrong outlook on life. Today's text is comprehensively speaking about the Christian's well-being. And presenting some elements of life.
It is a life of joy.
It is a life of doing good.
Eat and drink well.
Verse 13, “Eating and drinking” and the words that it is pleasure are found. You think there's something wrong with "eat and drink", but it's not. Being alive and being alive are the greatest joys God has given you.
It is a hard life.
In verse 10, it says, “God has given hard work to human beings” and in verse 13 it says, “Enjoy pleasure through toil”. When a person has a job, enjoys the work entrusted to them, and does their best, their mind, body, and life will be healthy. God does not want to be lazy.(…) Enjoying pleasure through hard work is the well-being of the saints.
It's good to die.
Verse 11 says that God has given man a heart to long for eternity. When a person lives happily, does good, eats well, drinks well and works hard, one day the end of his life will come.(…) When a Christian dies, an angel must come to meet him. It must be death that opens the gates of heaven. Man must live well, but must die well. Look at the Bible, there are very few stories about living well, and many stories about dying well. (…) A healthy body does not lead to wellbeing. Wellbeing is a life in which there should be joy, to do good, to live hard, to enjoy rest, and to long for eternity. Amen.
