Title: True wisdom that brings happiness
Ecclesiastes (6) True wisdom that brings happiness (Ecclesiastes 2:12-21)
1. to have a sense of equality
Solomon says that those who come after him will act like him (verse 12). A wise man or a fool will do the same thing (verses 13-15). All people are the same. Especially in the face of death, there is no discrimination between the wise and the fools (verses 16-17). It is wisdom to have a sense of equality in the face of a fair death.
Why do problems and scars arise in relationships? Because they think of themselves as special beings and want to be treated. The biggest problem is that those who have power, ability, and authority do not want to keep the law. Numerous problems arise when you see yourself as special and try to avoid law, order and ethics. In order to build a solid foundation for a life worthy of a human being and a life worthy of a saint, we must thoroughly recognize that all people are the same.
When the president or the president admonishes an employee who has done something wrong, he should only discipline the wrongdoing. If you touch your personality while admonishing someone for a mistake, saying, “People can’t do that!”, that admonition is wrong. Different chairs do not make humans different. A higher position does not mean a higher person. If you misunderstand it, you have a problem. Never lose your sense of equality, even if you are in a high position.
2. Putting grace first
Life is fleeting, so use your time wisely. The first thing I regret when I receive a death sentence at the hospital is that I did not save time. People usually do not realize the importance of time when they have a lot of time, but only then realize the importance of time when they have little time left. Save time and save time. A wise person grieves the loss of time the most. The key to managing your life is managing your time, and the key to managing your success is managing your time.
The clock says “Tick! Tick!” Doing “Now! Now!” If you don't manage your time well, you always complain that you don't have time, but you always have time to do the things you put first. Therefore, do not regret not having time, but regret not having the wisdom to use your time well. Time is equity given to everyone equally. You can be successful when you use that capital well.
Don't procrastinate by saying, "Let's do it tomorrow!" Today's day is like tomorrow's two days. Sweat today. Sweat does not betray life, it always gives fruit. However, in order for the fruit to last for generations to come, God must protect it. It is important to sweat, but we must protect the fruit of God's sweat. So, while it is important to live by saving time and time, it is even more important to live by the grace of God.
3. Leaving a legacy of faith
What do you feel when you see Solomon's lament (verses 18-19) that he cannot tell whether the next generation who will inherit his fruit will be wise or foolish? I am acutely aware of how important the religious education of my children is. However, even if you work hard for your children's religious education, you must pray because your efforts will not lead your children to the right path. If future generations do not succeed in their will and inheritance, all their labor will be in vain (verses 20-21). Therefore, prepare well for the blessings of future generations and pray earnestly for them.
Wannamaker, the king of department stores in the United States, offered two conditions when the president of the United States asked him to become secretary of the post. First, no matter how busy they are, they always ask for time to play with their children on the weekends. Second, no matter how busy I am, I always go to church on Sundays and ask for time to be a Sunday School teacher. He was well aware of how important it is to educate his children in faith and prepare for the blessings of future generations.
It is said that the best legacy to pass on to your children is “to develop the ability to do something for yourself,” but in reality, a more precious legacy is “to cultivate an attitude of humility and hard work under the grace of God.” Rather than pass on material things to your children, pass on faith and instill material stewardship. It is the wisest thing to leave a legacy of faith and a good vision better than material things to children and future generations.
