Title: Truly Blessed

Contents

title; Truly blessed (Matthew 5:1-6)

To a rich young man, the Lord said to him, “Give all your possessions to those in need, and then follow me.” The young man, who had a lot of money, could not follow the Lord and went away. He regarded the riches that he possessed as greater than that of the Lord. The Lord is the Creator of the world. This young man did not realize how false his thoughts were.

1. True Blessings and False Blessings

People tend to define happiness as having their needs met. But if man's desires are false, his blessings are false.

What fallen mankind seeks is to disregard God and to be exalted as earthly things. Trying to exalt oneself with material things, knowledge, or honor was deceived by Satan since Eden. Because of this, misfortune came to the human world. False desires beget sin, and through sin came curses and death.

Human happiness is not in the possessions of the world. All possessions in the world cannot be made to make people happy. However, those with carnal desires measure the degree of happiness according to how much or how little they have.

The blessings of man created by God are much higher than this. Human beings created in God's image were guaranteed a level of happiness in communion with God. It is to commune with God and to enjoy happiness as an attribute of the kingdom of God.

As Paul was persecuted, beaten, and imprisoned in a deep prison, he gave thanks to God with joy and exhorted the saints outside the prison to always rejoice. In other words, to enjoy the happiness of heaven in God is the true blessing.

When Jesus told us to rejoice when we are persecuted, he reminded us of the promise of great rewards in heaven to those who are persecuted. Paul, too, exhorted the church to do in the midst of the constant years of terrible persecution in Rome, affirming that tribulation, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword, cannot separate us from the love of God in our Lord Jesus. This confession is a testimony from Paul's living experience.

However, living with God is not limited to overcoming external threats. Rather, living with God is an essential human need. This is because it has been the way of human existence since creation. And the blood was shed for sinners. It is for the forgiveness of all sins that hinder us from living with God. to overcome sin. to fight the darkness.

Don't be fooled by false blessings! Do not be enslaved to false desires! Restore your true wish! Believe that only Jesus Christ is your salvation! Longing for that one! To live by God, to be satisfied with God alone! Do not forget that it is a true blessing to live with God, the Sovereign of Heaven and Earth, God as the source of life, God as the source of true happiness, and God as the eternal blessing-giver!

2. How to Enjoy True Blessings

Then how can we enjoy this true blessing? Why is it that so many church members believe in Jesus and live without knowing the happiness that transcends all conditions? Why can't we dwell on a very small amount of happiness and not enjoy the blessings in the abundant grace of life?

The path to true happiness is not an unknown world that we have to explore anew, nor is it difficult. In fact, all the ways to enjoy true blessing are presented in God's promised word.

As Jesus said in today's text, what man truly needs is to truly love and long for God. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Do you truly long for Jesus, the Savior? how much do you adore The question is whether you know the absolute reason for longing for it.

For sinners, the Lord is the absolute savior. Without the Lord, we cannot be freed from this sin. It was the same when I first believed, but every day to fight the lusts of the flesh, to overcome the temptations of the sins of the world, to resist Satan’s schemes, to obey God’s commandments, and to work out God’s salvation for the world. must be with us all the time, day by day, for the rest of our lives, and the more we know the Lord, the closer we get to Him, the more we will realize and yearn for the Lord as absolute Lord.

Therefore, we must cut off the sinful desires that do not long for the Lord. It is to mourn and repent. If the motive that moves a person is false and sinful, that person cannot escape from it. Repent of wrong motives! We must mourn for false motives. Truly, we must know clearly that the object that our souls desire and desire is not the world, not sin, nor the possessions of the world, but only God.

We must live according to the word of God. And the Holy Spirit must move and inspire. For that, prayer is absolutely necessary. Let's start each day with the first hour of the day in prayer! And let us continue to pray in communion with the Lord, just as we always breathe as one who lives with the Lord! The more we yearn for it, the more we pray, the more the grace of the Lord will rule our hearts. He is the God of those who seek. He is the Lord of those who yearn.

It is a lie to want to be happy with what is on earth. Living as God who is the absolute is the level of blessing that humans enjoy. Restore this motivation! And obey the law to live as God! Pray always with sincere longing for the Lord! Then you will always enjoy true blessings.
