Text Matthew 22:36-40
"Teacher, which commandment in the law is important?" Jesus said to him. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind,’ this is the most important and supreme commandment. The second commandment is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 'Do it.' On these two commandments the original meaning of all the Law and the Prophets rested."
The gist of the sermon: The commandment to love God is fulfilled only when we love our neighbors the way Jesus loved us.
What you need: two-sided bills, a water-filled cider bottle and a transparent cup
Our friends, aren't they very hot these days? Besides, after an exciting workout during the day, I can't stand it because of the heat. What do you think of the most when it's hot? I want a cold drink. So I'm going to buy a drink. What do you need to go to the store and buy something? money. So here's a drink and some money. But, how much is this money? (One thousand won.) Are you sure it's one thousand won? (Example) What picture should be on the back of the 1,000 won bill? But when I turn it over, the newspaper comes out. Can I use these banknotes? Is this fake? Anyone who writes these bills is a scammer.
Here's another drink. What's your name? it's cider Now drink one cup at a time. How does it taste? cider right? What do you call a person who sells water as cider? Trickster. A person who spends money like this that looks real on the front but fake on the back, who sells this kind of cider that looks real on the outside but fake on the inside is a scammer. Can our friends be scammers like this, can't we?
By the way, they say there are a lot of scammers like this in the church these days. No, where are these naughty scammers? Isn't there in our boys club? What kind of deceiver is, someone who says he loves God but does not love his family, friends, or teachers around him. Someone asked Jesus today. What should a person who believes in God keep first? So, Jesus said. First, he tells us to love God with all our heart.
Today's new friend read verse 39. 'So is the second commandment' Jesus said that the second commandment is also the same as the first. Say that the one who loves God is also the one who loves his neighbor as himself. Saying you love God is like the obverse side of a thousand won bill. By the way, anyone who says this and doesn't love anyone close to them, their family, their teachers or their friends, is the same scammer with these fake bills. People who say they believe in Jesus on the outside but hate on the inside and lie and curse are just like Cider, who is different from the outside.
As I was preparing these sermons, I immediately realized that I was a swindler. The evangelist also said that he loved God, prayed earnestly and tried to read the Bible, but in fact, there were many people among the evangelist's friends who hated him, and there were many times when he cursed inside if he didn't like it. And I couldn't love my boys' friends and teachers as much as I did. I don't know how many tears the evangelist prayed to God last night. Now, even the evangelist is trying not to become such a scammer. Let our friends and teachers pray together with me so that they do not become fraudsters in the sight of God. While praying for help to love those closest to us, we will live by reflecting on our children's daily record sheet every day.
Prayer: God, thank you so much for loving and caring for us. In today's Word, Jesus told us to love God with all our heart and love our neighbors. However, when we looked back, the front and back faces were different like a fake 1,000 won bill. It was different on the outside and inside like fake cider. God But now I feel like I am losing a little bit, and even if I feel a little unfair, I will live by keeping the words of Jesus, who told us to love our neighbors. Help. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
